Disney's Animal Kingdom is large enough to hold the magical kingdom, Epcot and MGM all in one. Known for its Yeti exhibit and hundreds of animals this theme park is a world of its own. Journey with me as I bring to you a land before time!

Sumica a Central Florida Lumber community ceased when the forest was cut down. Today it remains overgrown full of secret remnants of the past deep within its forest. Boasting over 600 residents and Caluso Indians perhaps some never left afterall!

 
   

Spook Hill a mystical place? Optical Illusion? Or Haunted? Once the site where a great Indian chief defeated a giant alligator....for almost two centuries it has been labeled as spook hill! Maximo Beach & Mound is the site where an ancient tribe vanished. Today most of the mound complex sits under water and in a public park. Also the site of a homestead and place where many artifacts were found! Do the ancient spirits still watch over this beautiful beach?

 

 

 Jungle Prada once the site of an ancient Indian Village rumored to have been the place of many dark rituals and practices. Also the site of Narvaez in 1528 who sought treasure... a man who brought 600 Spaniards to the new world beginning his reign of terror doing horrible things to the natives and its burial grounds. Over time its been the place of the first Night Club In St. Petersburg where Al Capone hung out with his boys and today its haunting mounds are full of unseen forces at work.

 

 

Sunnyside Cemetery is the site of the Day and Hoxie gravesites. Two well known people who formed the Girl Scouts Of America.  Known for its ghost tours this fairly well lit cemetery is just that sunny night or day! This 1800s place of the deceased is full of beauty and perhaps even haunted by the founders of the Girl Scouts!

 
   

Glen Oak Mound Cemetery is one of the only inland mounds in the area. Once the site of a sophisticated tribe it transformed into being a pioneer burial ground where only a few stones remain out of a few hundred settlers of Saint Petersburg. 

 

MGM/Hollywood Studios was a 40 year old dream come true...with many celebrities...active studios...and back drop tours rumor has it that some entered the film industry and perhaps never left. One of its most haunted sites is the Tower Of Terror..so step right up if you dare as I take you to the twilight zone!

 

Fort Mose once sat on an island in a marsh in the 1700-1800s. It was the first freed slave community in the country and the site of a bloody explosion that killed over three hundred residents. Once under control by the British. Spanish and US all that remains of this tragic fort is its stories passed on from generation to generation. Ghostly gun shots...and soldiers talking are just a few of the phenomena occurring here!

 
 

C.W. Parker's Carousel is almost a century old and with it carried a tragic history behind its restoration. Reports of children's ghostly laughter and a man who haunts this ride are told throughout its years. The Mission of Nombre de Dios was the foundation of St. Augustine FL as Pedro Menendez Aviles and his men brought Catholicism to these shores in 1528. Today the site is known for the oldest Shrine In The Country, The Great Cross, Menendez coffin, Historic Cemetery, Rustic Alter and of course the very famous Lady Le Niche Chapel which fell a few times to war, storms and age. Barnes Cemetery sits behind an Baptist church dating back from the 1800s. A private place left for the mind to wander this family type of cemetery perhaps has some ghost stories of its own. One of the less visited cemeteries in Saint Augustine this was has a strange little eerie feeling to it.

Once the historical home of a prominent man in Brooksville who buried both is wife and daughter next to the home is now today full of many strange tales of the unknown. 

 

Brooksville Historical Cemetery is draped by some of the oldest largest oaks in western Florida. With graves theorized to be almost two centuries old this cemetery was once part of a settlement where the death of one woman caused by a Seminole ambush led to its first burial here.
