Bonnie Springs Old Nevada
 
Bonnie Springs is a hidden Jewel Near Las Vegas beyond the Red Rock Canyon area. Many people think the only thing near Vegas is casinos, hotels, and brothels lol but in reality this historical site nestled in the mountains shows you another side to the beautiful desert surrounding Vegas.
 
I drove up near redrock canyon and we stopped at the overlooks eventually to meet up at Bonnie Springs Old Nevada which is this little old resort ghosttown. Of course its not that old of a ghost town but the area long before it became a tourist attraction does have some historical significance. As the springs would provide the natives for centuries with a source of water.
 
We waited for the steam engine train to arrive at the station and eventually boarded as it slowly headed towards a valley surrounded by these eerie mountains. It looked like something out of a movie where a UFO would come right over the canyon lol.
 
We arrived in Bonnie Springs and I strayed away starting to take a lot of photos. We also seen some wild prairie dogs up on a desert hill running around. Those things are so cute believe it or not the desert is a beautiful place if you learn to value what it has to offer.
 
I entered the town which had structures on both sides for a few hundred feet. The town looked like something you would seen out of a wild west movie. There was a beer parlor, opera house, church, school house, saloon, wax house, workshop, jail etc it was really interesting and some of the things from the town like a wagon were the originals from the 1800's.
 
We watched a wild west show where a man was being hung. I paid attention to it a little but I wandered off in this restaurant where many black and white photos were hanging on the walls. I sensed a presence near the bathroom where a painting of a beautiful woman was on the ceiling. Then again the energy is easily obvious all around you its a very unique location.
 
I went also into the wax museum which to me was the most active part of the investigation at least in eeriness. There was an area with tunnels that had no light I had to use my camera and lighter so we could see. The wax figures were from old miners and pioneers of the area some of them were eerie as hell. They looked so alive as if they were staring back at you. My kids seemed to get a kick out of this area of Bonnie Springs.
 
I did sense a few cold spots here and I bet when less people are around this place becomes pretty active at night. I also climbed an old fire engine just one of the many artifacts found throughout the springs. 
 
Another area which seemed odd was the school house built out of wood. It just felt gloomy and was very dark inside which you were not allowed to enter unfortunately. I felt perhaps a child presence here although in reality it was not a real schoolhouse it seems something became quite comfortable with this place. Everything within town had an old pioneer look some of it is older while other structures were made to look older.
 
The church was interesting too which we walked on in real quick to take a photo. I felt quite a few presences in Bonnie Springs but then again even though these are replicas of an old mining town the area dates back to the mid 1800's where at one time shoot outs took place and people lived in this mining town. Just as early explorerers would traverse the Old Spanish Trail which resides behind the springs.
 
I also visited the shoot out gallery took a photo by accident and set the entire place off oops lol. Everybody was looking at me when I came on out as the piano was playing and everything was activated I was like oops cause another show was going on which I am sure I interrupted. James and I visited the boothill cemetery where it said beware of evil of course not real it was a fun prop.
 
After we had enough fun in the ghost town we visited the springs area which was this little creek connected to a giant pond. Kind of odd to see in the desert since almost everything in the area was brown and dead.
 
I took my sons to the zoo at the Bonnie Springs area and I got to pet a wolf he was very large compared to a typical dog. We also got to play with a prairie dog and this little mouse was stealing his food from the dish. I got some really good photos of a giant lynx cat he use to belong to Wayne Newton the cat was yawning and sleeping most of the time. I seen other animals to like a donkey, llama, ponies, rabbits, desert animals, deer, and much more. I enjoyed the zoo but the wolves were the best part in my opinion. I was a bit disgusted at the condition of the animal pens and how the treatment was of them its sad.
 
After a long investigation and fun we boarded the train heading back to the parking area. It was a lot of fun this place seems to have a lot of ghost as far as activity that's hard to say since in some of the buildings I could feel a presence while at the restaurant I felt watched from upstairs. The area is very old and historical but at the same time you get your ghost you get to have fun touring the town, watching shootouts, and petting animals. Its a nice place to take the family and in a few years I do have plans to return to conduct a much more large scaled investigation.
