As some of you were aware I was contacted to air on "Haunted Highway" which does not come out till this summer. The first pilot show they asked for my help in an area our society has worked with countless times. I was glad to help since I knew the layout of the area, knew various locals, history and had a pretty bad ass paranormal experience up there a few years ago. Keep in mind I writing these report prior to all the shows mishaps, lies and drama.

My only wish was that I had gotten the lead on the show but unfortunately due to their low budget constraints being a new show and my experience I am not sure they could afford to pay me. Not to mention how they wanted to take others who scare or shock more easily I guess to gain the audiences interest. Either that or they preferred to put on celebrities instead of giving someone with paranormal knowledge the part. I don't scare and for some TV networks I am a bit to extreme when it comes to our expeditions. The producer wanted some extreme adventuring but those above him were not allowing it and as some of you know I do allot of the places like caves, cliffs, mountain climbing, camping and offroading. The problem is with today's paranormal shows is that they are made to look extreme but they are not. I hope to some day get approval for such a show as I really think people need a real look into what it is that I do not just reading about it.

I learned allot though about television production when it comes to these paranormal shows on TV as I was brought out for four days to be an advisor and to do an interview. I was also respected by the entire crew for my expertise in this field and they treated me really well for the most part even though I still do not agree with the show and how it was done. I may appear in some future episodes when they decide to work up where I am at or bring me on later in the seasons as again they were pretty impressed with my work, dialogue and wealth of information. Then again I probably will not as they found my report asking me to take it down.

I cannot really get into details about the filming but I did have time to do one of my own investigations and explorations in the region. Most of my other time was spent traveling with the producer alone interviewing locals, traveling on the road, dining and hanging out bored. I felt pretty lucky as I got to hang out with the producer who has done shows on various networks some of them everyone knows well. This is actually the top production network around so they do shows for television networks like SYFY, History Channel, Animal Planet and Travel Channel. Although I been on television a few times this was one of my bigger projects considering the fact that I worked with an entire crew which included producers, cameramen and a casts. But no matter how big a production company is it does not mean that some of their shows are not flawed.

I was flown out much earlier then everyone to meet up with the producer the first day we went hiking it was a bit cool out over in Nelson. But we had a sweet ride and eventually when the crew came down they rented some really awesome vehicles for cruising from Vegas up to Nelson. I must had driven in multiple SUV's the entire trip going to different locations. Just allot of stop and go which included a museum that I was able to tour for free and in my opinion anything to do with ghost towns is pretty cool.

My flight was okay although up here where I live their was snow and high winds so the turbulence was pretty terrible flying over NV. I was able to get to my gate in seconds that's why flying out of Reno is so cool never a hassle or an issue. You walk in get your ticket in a few seconds...go straight through security and your in just like that.

My first day was just spent hiking around I met an old couple with some stories in the region and had a very nice Chinese dinner. That is the one thing I will say I was fed pretty damn good the entire trip. The crew had the backs of two SUV's filled with food and drinks. Meanwhile when we were not working we were allowed to eat dinner just about anywhere we wanted. I stayed at the Hilton which by the way my room was awesome and the hotel had all sorts of cool amenities like a Jacuzzi so it was pretty nice. At times I would run into other crew members late at night drinking coffee in the downstairs lounges. I felt a bit like an oddball as I probably was one of the oldest out of everyone yet I look the most eccentric to lol. Their were a couple guys I talked to from Base Productions they were alright its ashamed that some of them are working for a company that has to fake the paranormal to pay them.

My second day was spent up at Nelson's Landing and El Dorado Canyon that is where they set up for the show. Of course being there for 8 hours and just watching isn't as exciting so I had given the producer a radio and took off into the wilderness which I will talk about this amazing paranormal adventure I had later in this report. As really the trip is a huge mix of places, sites and experiences. Before I left the producer was talking to Jack Osbourne and Dana Workman about bringing in a trained German Shepherd that it would be arriving in the evening. They were also talking about hanging meat off the trees etc it started to seem the entire show was scripted.

My third day was spent at the museum and we had a group dinner at the diner at the Nugget in Searchlight. I actually drank a beer while on film at the diner I don't want to be anybody else but me. That is the thing I may be on TV or I may become the next big name in some series but ill never change me. Ill always have the long hair, black nails, drink a brew while interviewing, chase the unknown in a crazy way and make as many friends along the way. I feel that people should enjoy the hard work I do not base it on how I look or what's in the glass lol. One thing I know is the paranormal I had a chance almost to talk with every member of the production crew. One of them asked me tell me how is it you go off into the night no compass by yourself and come back alive. The other guy busted in the conversation and says that is because that is what Lord Rick does lol. So at the diner after my interview we all ate ribs, phillies and other great food. I drank a few brews as my night was done and soon id be heading back to the hotel. That night they were visiting a mine however half of the crew had to be limited to that site as a ranger was on site babysitting the entire time so I ended up later that night getting me some chicken wings lol. The interview was long as instead of it being at the sight of where I seen my hellhound they had me pretend to be some stranger sitting at a diner strange huh?

Its kind of odd when you go around publicly with a film crew we had some manager at the hotel tell us that he loves our show and if we needed him to be on TV he would volunteer we were like ummmm yeah. Just as when you go out with the crew for dinner people are all coming up to you asking questions wanting to know who you are. People treat you different when they think you are famous or they are going to be on TV in the background. Personally I am just Lord Rick ill drink my beer, look at a nice set of legs, chase some goddamn ghost, endanger my life and by the end of the night shake hands make new friends lol. What I do best is the paranormal and I value all the support I have gotten from others. But I will never seek fame I only do TV shows to educate the public.

The one thing I miss is having a team or a crew at the Paranormal & Ghost Society were very understaffed. Most of the work that gets done is by me that includes the offroading, hiking, videos, recordings, readings, extreme exploring etc etc including our site. So when I had a chance to work with others I really valued that because when you work with a TV crew everybody is involved with the investigation not just you. I miss those days but its just hard to find a committed crew allot of people want me to do all of the work then when people want something out of our group then they contact us. Then you get those who come on out once get scared head for the hills or those who do not want to work hard at paranormal adventuring. I see the things I do because I work hard at it thus those are the rewards that come from it. Our society has allot of potential and down the road your probably going to see me in various TV shows just because allot of different producers like the work we do and our methods.

When I did my interview the entire crew shook my hand said great dialogue your very well spoken and you put the paranormal into a perspective everyone can understand. That is why I operate the type of website I do because we want to educate others and do it realistically with every location we explore. Nonetheless the trip went very well I met allot of cool people. I didn't get to know Dana and Jack very well they both are very nice people I just am not sure they are that experienced with hunting monsters as the show is more based on that nor being outdoors. They are the investigators for the show although I didn't see them use equipment on the show other then a camera or two with other tech's following them around. That's my opinion as believe me I had four days of talking with the producers about it because I have allot of good ideas I just need them to be brought into light is all. The show really came to light based on my experiences up there so at first I was told I was the head guy then I was sidelined against budget constraints or the fact of that my experience would make the show less exciting who knows. But from what I know is any TV network that gets me their going to make millions in ratings because people are waiting to see me in action and I am just waiting myself so patience is a virtue lol. I guess my wish is that production companies would do more research to understand how hard we work if they knew some of the things we do they would air us so when the shows budget grows the producer told me he would like to bring me into it so its hard to say if its just a budget problem or they want a couple nice looking people on the air or someone who scares easier etc not sure the angle yet with the show. Unfortunately allot of times they use paranormal scholars for their information and can careless about anything other then that as long as it benefits them.

From my experience I thought the show would be more adventurous but the BLM constrained the crew to where they could go. For example they brought in ATV's but they could only run them a couple hundred feet in the canyon. Just as when they hiked they stayed near the road just a 100' away. So their are advantages of not being on the show as an investigator because it allows me to go the places that the film crew cannot such as mines, caves, hiking trails etc without being fined or getting into any legal problems. Their was no adventuring more or less they walked in circles and compiled it together for television.
So I would at least commit to doing my own investigation into the hell hounds and I felt it was a pretty good one. I give to all of you Nelson's Landing a place in seclusion along the Colorado River with an area ravaged with mines, camps, ghost town and strange tales. Most of the millions of viewers would rather anyway's see videos of venturing off into the El Dorado wilderness and that I did.

Nelson's Landing
(The Search For The Legendary Hellhounds)

When we arrived in the canyon the crew breaked for a few snacks I watched the investigators being filmed. I ended up hiking on the opposite side of a road sliding down into a ravine. Then I climbed the side of this steep hill. I stood on the hill to get a good view of the area which is some of the most beautiful desert you will ever see with a wide range of colored rocks, blue river water and hills. Sadly it didn't take long to get hurt I fell had a cactus go through the palm of my hand it wasn't fun I played it off though as if it was nothing because dwelling on it would just slow me down.

My ride had left not sure what happened but I was under the impression everyone was staying a half hour not even a matter of 10 mins two of the vehicles took off including the one that had all my gear lol. I ended up sliding down this steep rocky hill you couldn't walk down it one wrong step and well it could be bad. I made it back to the road and they just didn't see me. It was okay because they were still filming by the road so either way I could just hitch a ride in a different vehicle if needed to be. I was already bleeding and scraped up its okay no pain no game but man that just tells me that their is no time or effort spent in their investigations.

I ended up walking about a mile down the road decided to hike it down to the landing where I caught up with the other crew members. Actually one of the travel coordinators swung by asked if I needed a ride lol. I was pretty happy to be in air conditioning as it was a much warmer day then the previous day I had flown on in. Eventually they road me down at the landing and base of the canyon where they set up the ATV's for the investigators to play around on. They looked like allot of fun that's for sure and when the they took off on them for the filming I had then went my own way. I gave the producer one of my two way radios told him if you need anything or the shit hits the fan get in contact with me. He knew that while they were trying to look for hell hounds in the canyon I would be heading off another way trying to seek out some of my own material for our website.

The crew ordered pizza and subs from subway they promised to save me some subs and they did. There a great bunch of guys like I said I enjoyed working with everybody I just wish I played a bigger role then the info man lol. I did however get paid to be a part of the crew and I was treated really well so I have nothing bad to say but a man can dream right? Its not being on TV that matters its teaching people and showing them the paranormal world that's in front of us. We were waiting also on the German Shepherd to show on up to be filmed in their segment as I heard them explaining it to the entire crew including Jack and Dana.

So I set off problem was that it was sprinkling out and cloudy not to mention how the temperature dropped fast. There was a major storm coming and I had warned them if it rains get out of these canyons because over the years many have died due to flash floods. However a mild sprinkle generally is fine so they had plans to work for about 8 to 10 hours filming at this location. My plans were to do a hike to a ghost town and maybe find me a mine to explore. This night reminded me of the 1974 storm which killed nine people here from a flash flood its very dangerous.

I begin hiking down along the landing where at one time ferries use to dock and their was a port. As I made my way along the landing I stood above it along this narrow trail which eventually disappeared following the Colorado River from about 100' above. The view was gorgeous but the skies concerned me along with the fact that in a few hours it would be dark and I had miles to go and all I had was an old ghost town map on me which showed a couple old mining roads. Yeah, problem is with that is its a needle in a haystack as the canyons all run crisscross some are so high you cant see where your at then you have roads that go to nowhere and even hiking trails with poor markings.

I made my way over a ridge where I found a blue lagoon or cove rather surprisingly I climbed down to the water and started to head away from the river. I found this dirt road actually it was pretty wide and their was a few areas with some really nice green foliage. Nobody has been back here in awhile you could tell and the silence was nice. I was actually one canyon over from the film crew so if I climbed the wall to my right I could have looked down on them. However I was supposed to head a bit northwest so I would eventually end up pulling very far away from any humans for miles.

I had a pretty heavy backpack on me with food, medicine, supplies, paranormal gear etc so I was a bit weighted down but I had to make sure I had enough fluids to survive. I found this old iron bar making an old mining wagon trail of some kind. It said no vehicles only foot travel little did I know this would turn into a series of narrows. Narrows are little canyons barely big enough to squeeze through so at times they were so tight and the walls were so high it felt like being in a rat maze.

All I could think about is how screwed I am if a flash flood were to occur as it started to rain and I was hiking for nearly a half hour through these narrow passages. Some of them split off but their was no end to them. Eventually I had no choice but to climb an 8' wall up to another narrow then a steep hill up and out of them. I was getting way to far away from the film crew and it was raining. When I came out I spotted an old mining road definitely allot safer to travel on so I followed that road along a ride 200' above. Eventually I would have to make a choice follow the old mining road on the ridge or the one below where it appeared to have plenty of tire tracks on. I slid all the way down to lower road realizing that behind me the river was a few miles away and the film crew was three canyons away. When I say canyons I mean massive canyons like a couple miles across all together so yeah I was not getting back anytime soon.

I took a lower mining road to some cave I found or rather a den their was no animals in it but the rock formation I found was really cool. There was a few eerie sites on two occasions on my hike I found peoples shoes. I have heard that over the years people have been killed and buried out in this region the more shoes I seen the more I believe it. As some of you know I have investigated El Dorado Canyon, Huse Springs, San Juan Camp, Nelson, Jubilee and Skull Mine in the region. I also investigated a haunted house out here so I expected no less activity as the night came on and I was in seclusion. Since the production crew decided to spread the investigation out to Searchlight and Las Vegas I will include on my next update some of my other projects I did in this region.

I was making allot of videos when they go live on youtube your going see about 30 vids some of them are quite saddening because I end up getting stuck in a massive storm. I am soaked head to toe, its sleeting which is water mixed in with snow, body was cramping up and I lost my signal due to heavy cloud cover with the television crew. There was no easy way back as I ended up instead of heading towards the ghost town had to abort and start climbing canyons to get back to everyone. In some of my videos you can see water hitting the lens while I am shivering trying to hold it steady. Its a great video series believe me because it gives you a look into what paranormal adventuring is really about. Their is no scripts or acting I just went out into the unknown.

I could say I was lost at times because the canyons are so deep you cannot see the main road and back in the Colorado mountains the mining roads are like an intricate maze. I knew if I headed north for 15 miles I could hit Nelson or perhaps some site I did recognize or I could just head north east in hopes that it intersects with El Dorado canyon and stumble upon the film crew this way. I had no cell phone signal or radio signals working at this point it was me, myself and I. Just filming videos letting others know what I am doing where I am at and what's going on. My hand was throbbing earlier from the cactus and what I was about to do was insane.

I would began to cross over to the next canyon where I climbed this steep tall mountain it was dark it was raining and when I reached the top I realized that I had cliffs all around me. At one time I fell and started sliding down towards one grabbing anything I could grab onto. I stood up heading the safest way down into the next canyon. I have to admit the barrel cactuses were beautiful when they absorb water they turn this bright red color so that was a nice site to see. At the same time my poncho was ripped to shreds thus I was soak n wet!

I ended up hiking down into this valley their was an entire hillside of these cactuses which by the way I went past one and had one of them go right into my leg. These species of cactuses detach themselves and are so hard to get out you need pliers. They can penetrate hiking boots, rubber souls and just about anything. Pulling it out of my leg was very painful especially in the dark on some hill top in the pouring cold sleet. I was not done or out of the woods yet I followed an unmarked canyon with high stone walls it was a strange find but I felt safer here less foliage.

I ended up probably for over two miles hiking down this canyon which was about 50' across with about 50' high walls at times. The rock may have been slate or granite hard to say but it was a dark gray and the canyon floor was fairly smooth or sandy. All I could do was follow the twist and turns for what seemed endless and that's when I came across a 10' drop off. You guessed it I went for the gold I jumped off and rolled in the sand. I did it just right so that I wouldn't break my ankle thank goodness because that would just add to the fun of trying to get back.

After the canyon at times narrowed I had noticed I was being followed at the tops of the walls of the canyon. I heard something big moving around and at times it slid so rocks were falling from the high walls. Nearby I could hear a hound barking and howling it was pretty spooky. It happened a few occasions in about a 20 minute time period. I know it was not a coyote and it wasn't a dog of any kind down in this downpour. Maybe it was a hell hound who knows but one thing I can tell you is I was not alone. Something also threw a rock and it hit me in the leg. The visibility was so bad in this canyon I couldn't see my glasses were foggy and wet I was walking blind with about a 20 percent visibility. My lights were blinking off and on due to the rain as well hope was nearly lost.

Regardless of how eerie it became out there never once did I back down never once did I run and never once did I show one ounce of fear. I was like you want me take me then here I am as the rain was dripping off my face in the dark of the night. Whatever it was backed down it stopped following me when I reached a massive canyon which went a half of mile across. All I could make out were shadows of mountains then off in the distance I seen a car headlight I was like no goddamn way!

I tried my radio no signal then eventually the producer came in asked where I was and I had explained to him that I had been hiking about a mile in this canyon where I seen brief lights. He thought I was hiking on the main road so they told me to stay put but I was not. I was in fact in El Dorado canyon just a few hundred feet away now from the set. Their was no lights visible because the crew was parked on the other side of a hill within the canyon on a jeep trail while I was just a little below them so this is why I only seen a truck moving briefly its because they moved a few hundred feet away from Nelson's landing.

So I kept heading towards this curvy area where I seen these headlamps came around and fade eventually following the canyons upper road where I climbed up and there they were the entire film crew. When I walked right up the bank I was right in front of Dana and Jack's SUV they were taking a break before having to go outside and do some more filming. Jack was in the drivers seat they had high beams on I couldn't see anything thus I stepped onto a sharp rock which was wet and it punctured my knee cap. I know it was not on purpose but if your just standing in the canyon taking a break their is no need for high beams.
I think everyone was in a state of shock to see me seriously. Dana took my radio told the producer I am with her not on the main road and at the set lol. Little did I know that when I was walking up to Dana that I would see this rock with a sharp point on it which I fell on because it was so slippery from the rain. When the crew led me to the UHaul they turned heat on for me, brought me food and eventually got me a medical first aid kit. Actually one of the local residents who time to time helps base productions lended me a hand he was a cool guy probably one of the only ones I respected. Sadly he was not much part of the show or crew so he doesn't even know the BS that went on with the filming of this.

I didn't even know it but I had a giant rip in my pants and my knee was bleeding. I literally had a cut vertically across my knee cap so deep that it was nearly to the bone. I made a video of it took photos as well to document the occurrence. Its doing better I needed stitches/staples but decided not to get them since the next day was my interview and all I wanted to do was go back to my room rest on up. So I took care of it and its doing better still allot of pain though but its healing and it will go with all my other scars I guess.

I sat in the Uhaul for about two more hours I started to doze off I was pretty tired I didn't get to see the German shepherd they brought in I missed it. But I did get to hike 10 miles into the vast Colorado mountains surrounding Nelsons Landing. Maybe call it luck or maybe I just am skilled enough with directions or the fact that I knew subs were awaiting me lol. I can smell food from miles away so who knows what it was but it felt good to make it back to everyone and talk to others about how the production was going.

The producer came up to me he said to me Rick whatever you do please don't move and please do not go anywhere lol. I told him I warned you I was more paranormal then the things your going come across we had a good laugh. Everybody was really nice to me one guy on the crew who I never met never once talked to me gave me a really bad look. I think he thought to himself I am either crazy or stupid but I'm not sure people understand that if you want to experience UFOs, cryptids, monsters, ghost, aliens and the strange your going to have to make sacrifices. Your going to have to take the road less traveled its probably the only method that is going to work in this field and if you cant or wont do it you shouldn't be in this field that's my take on it.

Despite that I was wet, cold, tired and cut up going back to the hotel about 3am felt great. I had a nice hot shower....tended to my cut.....had a nice Italian lunch the next day and got to hang out with everyone. I think nearly every person asked me how I was doing and it felt good to be a part of something. I was able to share my tales with the producers, camera men and even the investigators for the show. I worked hard unfortunately due to the heavy weather I couldn't record EVP's or EMF's but I took photos and allot of video footage from being out in the wilderness. I have to wonder if I was very close to having another hell hound experience or was something else zoning on a lonely man hiking down the canyons that at one time miners died in? As I encountered rocks being thrown at me and the sounds of some large beast following me along a canyons steep walls.

Anyhow my four days working with the film crew was a very different experience. I was able to update my facebook constantly when I was able to get a signal from my phone. I ate really good every single day the crew bought my coffees, food, snacks and everyone shared with me. I have to say some of them are a great group of guys but it does not mean I have to agree with how this production was conducted.
Id like to come back though and work more with it that is what I hope but more then likely I feel that I probably would decline as I do not act I live the real thing. I did submit a few places to the producer so if he gets them approved they may come up here and hell ill host a BBQ at my place as I got a nice view of the sierra range from my backyard. I always believe in giving back to others and well lets just say they were pleased with my interview. They were also pleased with my work that I do its tough to know who someone is till you actually spend time with them. I wish they took the time to know The Paranormal & Ghost Society and myself to see what it is they could have here.

I had a nice breakfast before my plane left home on that Sunday then we all met in the lobby riding to the airport together. The airport was chaos security gave me allot of shit checking my laptop, putting me in some machine etc Never do I ever have issues but this time around it took me awhile to get through. I really didn't mind since I had a few hours to kill so all I had plans to do was read a book, jump on my laptop and hang with the crew.

Sadly the crew members all left before me everyone looked so tired falling asleep. I hung out with Dana, audio tech, producer and the executive producer at the Southwest gates. What a great bunch of people and I hope the show works out for them I really do but I have my doubts. I was glad to be a part of the pilot if it wasn't for my hell hounds investigation years ago who knows they wouldn't have made the first show about this location.
This region they did the show at was my first real paranormal expedition I did back in the 1990's so you can imagine its a special place in my heart its what made me who I am today really as a paranormal adventurer. I do hope they decide to bring me on but they had a hard time with funding and getting the big guns to approve certain things. Like I wanted the more extreme part of paranormal investigator but the big guns wanted the first season to just be very mild to see how it goes. I am not sure why I wasn't chosen as an investigator but they did tell me later in the season I may be investigating Bigfoot in one of there episodes since I am a pretty knowledgeable cryptzoologist which seems to be an interest to allot of our fans. Bigfoot is allot of fun to search for and over the years I have came real close to this creature. Of course producers promise allot of things and never follow through. Most of them enjoy the life of traveling, food expenses paid for, hotels and earning a paycheck off making a mockery of the paranormal.

When the crew left the other producer found me as he was flying to a different airport so we sat down and talked. It is his show and he gave me allot of kind words then boarded his plane. Then I got bored at the airport nobody to hang with went on facebook nobody want to chat so I went to an Irish pub got drunk boarded my plan was snoring my head ended up on some blonde ummm yeah lol. Lord Rick style baby you'd get drunk too if you had the journey I had seriously!

Whether people realize or not when your on a film crew for a TV network its allot of work between the flying, interviewing, hiking around, traveling, dining out, rental cars, hotel check-in, meeting people, stop n go and seeing allot of sites. I met allot of interesting people such as a lady who operates a museum who told me allot about the area and her life. Id definitely like to do this again if the show can get the ratings it can get they may have enough budget to bring me on. I just don't think they had the money to bring on some of the more well known authors and paranormal investigators you hear about. I think they figured I would cost to much to air because of my experience and I told them if you cant afford it its okay I do this to educate others its not the money that matters to me it never will be about that. Then again with the way some of them looked at me it might be apparent that you must look a certain way to be on TV. I am me and over the years thousands have learned to accept it. I am not on TV to model or please I am on TV to share my knowledge.

I have to say everyone was cool and laid back. I mean everybody swears like a sailor.....cracks jokes...likes beer....one guy told me he has done shrooms before. These are a cool bunch of people who like me really appreciate getting to see these places that are historic and paranormal. Nobody ever left me out of the loop the producer told me by the hour what was going on what they would be doing and when they had questions they came to me so I cant help to feel that Paranormal Highway has a piece of me lol:) and you guys will probably enjoy the series this summer. I wish I could be more involved with it but I am not the man behind it just the man that gets called if they need my help if that makes sense.:) however I highly doubt the show will return for a second season. I had ideas I pitched them they were ignored and so was I. Honestly I was lied to a few times and well no matter how cool these young guys seem they have no real respect for the hard work we do. Nobody pays me to do what I do we never have to fake an audience and anybody who is given a part on a paranormal show should also have the knowledge. I was a bit disheartened by them constantly changing stories the show was disorganized and done poorly. The only way I would return is if I could produce it myself with barely any crew at all then I feel they would be onto to something.

Man when I arrived home I do not remember much I ate in my sleep dinner head fell into my dinner plate and I slept for almost a day lol. I was pretty tired knee was in allot of pain still is even a week after the fact. I am glad to have had an opportunity to be a part of the project and work with everyone. I know we get allot of people who visit our site read our reports so if you would like a guest on your radio show, someone to help produce your paranormal shows, want an interview, narrator or a main member for any producers upcoming projects or shows I am your man. I bring allot to the table and I do what I do because I have passion for the unknown. I may never go back again to Nelson and El Dorado Canyon but it truly is the wild west it was my first journey into the wild west and over the years the adventure has gotten even wilder. I look forward to what the future holds The Paranormal & Ghost Society is going places and we can only hope there will be those who want to be a part of it! The sky is the limit just as the paranormal has no limits! To see some of our finds on the expedition scroll further below.
Lord Rick
Founder

When Rick decided to come forth about the show being a sham they decided to change his name to Rick Fisher when in actuality his name is Richard Rowe. They also put him down as a local resident when in fact he was the one many years ago who did paranormal investigations in the region. His society nor him was given any proper credit rather then interview him at the location where this sighting took place the production crew left him at a diner filmed a 20 minute with Dana and Jack where only 21 seconds of it were used. We have reason to believe that was was said during the interview was not used due to the fact that Mr. Rowe stated that Hell Hounds are not cryptid and do not give off thermal energy. The production company told Rick that he would play a much more major role with the show and was lied to. More or less they made a mockery of his case files in the region and was treated to look like a local resident at the Nugget Casino in the town of Searchlight.

This location is where the crew of Haunted Highway set up their base of operations. In all do honesty more or less it is the mouth of El Dorado Canyon. The real part of the canyon is a few miles westward. This location however is known as Nelsons Landing it served as a port for the gold miners in the 1800s until 1974 a flash flood struck the port killing 9 people and destroying the village that stood at this very location. Little does the crew of Haunted Highway know it but where they filmed at is a cemetery as their are many burials and potter fields at Nelsons Landing that are unmarked. It is not the Hell Hounds you have to worry about here it is a place with many angry spirits. Take this shoe for example who left it behind and why? Its a strange but alluring
place!

Deep within the El Dorado mountains between a narrow canyon I caught this mass of ectoplasm. You can kind of making out a face manifesting within it. Ill tell you what with it raining and little light I was not alone in those narrow canyons. I heard what sounded like a hell hound on the tops of these rocks it was intense.

Some energy off in the distance this is a very narrow canyon I followed to get out into the open desert.

This is a possible gravemarker I found on a hillside. Sometimes when a miner was buried they would pile stones up and then later it would be marked with a post. Its an eerie find walking through the El Dorado hills since it truly is one giant cemetery particularly surrounding the landing area.

A shoe resides at the base of Nelsons Landing kind of eerie. Back in the day from a private source I recieved information that many of Nevadas missing persons have been buried out here. At times finding shoes and articles of clothing does not mean someone was murdered but it is nonetheless a bit of an odd find.  This is the site where many lost their lives in a flash flood. Hell Hounds no ghosts here are however quite the possibility.

Another pair of shoes this pair I found on a parallel canyon over the next ridge of El Dorado Canyon. Its another odd find makes you wonder what happened to the person. Back when this area was not for tourist I heard many miners and even victims of murder were buried out here. We always have to remain vigilante on our investigations.

I found this cave in the side of this hill I am assuming SYFYs Haunted Highway must think that a hall hound is a creature that dwells in dens and that it has never been discovered. Do you know what dwells here? Mountain lions and coyotes! Ill leave it at that!

A sign is torn down laying down below that says Nelson Hills. The area is very poorly marked as many of my personal friends four wheeled back in the hills and their is dozens of mines. Their is no really marked trails and miles of wilderness out there. Getting lost here can mean life or death!

Not paranormal but an odd find its an actual gourd growing up in the hills of El Dorado. The desert most people think is a dry wasteland but truth be told their is life within it.

These are called barrel cactuses which turn bright red when it rains. I know its not paranormal but one this tall has been around for over a century probably growing when the gold rush began here. I did have a few cactuses penetrate my skin on the hike from slipping on wet rocks its extremely painful.

Out of all the cliffs and wet hills I climbed on my expedition surrounding Nelsons Landing this injury was recieved not out of carelessness. Jack Osbourne was sitting in the SUV out of the rain with his high beams on as I walked up El Dorado Canyon. It blinded my eyes so bad that I could not see this pointed sharp slippery rock which I fell onto giving me the following gash. I should have gotten stitches but I did not it took over two months to heal! It was an accident but still its very ironic!

This was an intense scene during the expedition and unfortunately my night vision camera is not the greatest as we are a non profit paranormal research team. However I keep the camera on the rain is pretty hard so you may or may not here. But I turned on the camera because I was being stalked by something on the top of the high walls in the canyon I was in. I heard what sounded like a dog howling and moving above me. If I ever felt like prey this would be the moment. In the video I drop my knife then end up picking it back up I was almost sure that a mountain lion was on the attack. Not only did I hear a dog a few times on the cliffs above me but I heard a voice of what sounded like a man and something threw a rock at my leg. I feel if Haunted Highway would have given me one of their better night vision cams the results of what was occurring may have astonished the public. I knew that before I left the hills something would try to stop me.

Things are looking quite gloomy on the expedition my radios are not working. I am soaked, cold and being hit with some rare snow. I am filming myself because I have no idea if I am going to fall to my death, become the prey of a natural predator or end up washing away down the side of a mountain. This is not one of my prettiest moments I am dead in the water you can see me laying down rain is blasting me in the face. I have not given up I just have not had any shelter from the elements and this location has thousands of locations that I must carefully cross through to get into th
e next canyon.

This is my personal log taken in the Uhaul that the crew rented to hold their camera gear. I was warming up didn't realize how bad my knee was. I split it  open to the bone it took over two months literally to heal. What happened was is Jack was in his SUV had the high beams on and as I walked up to talk to Dana Workman I fell on a wet sharp rock. It was bad enough the rain blinded me but the lights to made it worst. In this log I talk about the expedition for me it was a sweet victory and a fine finish to all the paranormal work I have done in this region over the years.
