Devil's Ladder and the Red Lake area was one of the most well used passes and wagon trails in the 1800s as those made there way over the Sierras! Famous explorers like Kitt Carson and Fremont once stood on these shores. Today however the ladder and this very lake have some of the best fishing and camping in the region. This area also has some of the best Bigfoot & UFO activity in the sierra triangle an area known to be a paranormal hotspot in this range. What secrets are hidden away in an area that is as historical as it is mysterious?


Blue Lakes California is nestled deep within the high sierras. Do not let the beauty in this area fool you as Bigfoot activity has occurred back in this region for decades. Not only is it the gateway into the Mokelumne Wilderness but it also stays snow covered most of the year thus this region remains continueously in solitude. The first settlements in the region were that of a ghost town called Summit City and today what remains is those who visit these lakes to fish, hike and camp. This is an adventurious location full of strangeness as the curious creature watches from above on its volcanic peaks surrounding this pristine basin.




Hope Valley was used to gain access to the Mokelumne Wilderness and Pacific Crest trail an ancient trade route. Later in the 1800s-1900s it became a place for ranchers to raise cattle, horses and sheep. Today this scenic wonder is found in movies, commercials and is visited by many different celebrities. Not only is it one of the larges meadows in all of the sierras it is rumored to also be one of the most active areas where Bigfoot is said to cross its meadows which lead up into high country!


Crater Lake California & The Alhambra Mine is not only historical but it also resembled a lost world. With monolithic waterfalls that rain off its nearby cliffs and crystal clear blue waters there is no place like it. Wadsworth Fraternal Cemetery resides near the Carson River and is segregated from the memorial Paiute Cemetery. Today this graveyard remains forgotten and overgrown by the high desert. Once a place for the masons and residents who were part of fraternal organizations many interments share tragic tales such as the man who burnt to death in his sleep. This burial ground tells a sad story amongst its wooden grave markers.


Wadsworth Memorial Historic Cemetery is dedicated to the Paiute Natives who resided in the Pyramid Lake Reservation area. Minus this burial ground this cemetery serves as a reminder of the once booming town of Wadsworth Nevada which was befallen from tragic fires and poverty. This eerie historic place of the dearly departed  is a true symbol of all that remains of the pioneers who made railroading history.







Dayton's Rock Point Mill built in 1861 was the first of its kind as it was built to process the ore mined in the Comstock Lode. Today all that remains of what is left from the various fires and serves as a reminder of what was once one of the largest stamp mills in the country. The Flume Trail was home to the Washo tribe for thousands of years only eventually to be an area of lumbering so that the timber could be used for the mines in the Comstock. It was also the site of a flume that provided water for the residents and miners of Virginia City. Today the forest has reclaimed itself at this epic location that is surrounded by areas such as Spooner, Martlette, Hobart and Tahoe Lakes. Despite its historic significance the real question is does something visit this location from another world or has Bigfoot taken residency at this adventurious scenic hotspot? Wolf Creek was once the site of an old cabin village and ranch where cattle roamed. The Desolation Wilderness also known as Devil's Basin was the summer hunting grounds of the Washoe Natives. However in the 1800's miners, ranchers and even tourism came to this granite basin to make a better prosperous life. Known for its maze of lakes and granite rock formations this primitive area is home to some of the most active Sasquatch and UFO activity in all of California. Bowers Mansion & Cemetery was once the home of the first millionares that struck it rich in the Comstock Lode. What started off as a life of luxury ended in tragedy as the Bowers mine went bust and the death. Eventually Eilley one of the the most notable women in mining history went from Riches to Rags as she was Virginia Cities seer. Over the years the mansion changed many hands eventually only to become a park where its ghost of the past still remain and haunt this place where many promiment invidiuals like Mark Twain once visited!




Palmetto Nevada is a story about one towns struggle to survive not once but three times only to be succumbed by the high desert. When the ore was found to be low grade it was abandoned as prospectors moved on to places like Goldfield and other more successful mining towns. Today its stone ruins are all that remains and a few lone craves that wild cattle surround. What secrets does Palmetto hide named after its settlers thought Joshua trees were related to Palms!



Fort Churchill & Buckland Station are examples of western military and early pioneer history. This fortication was built after the Pyramid Lake Wars in hopes to maintain peace for the miners of the Comstock Lode. This is one of the last locations where men fought for the final frontier in what is known as the Wild West. Today these Ruins, Buckland Station and the Cemetery remind us of the tragic history that struck this region all the way from murders to rapes and one families curse. What ghost of the past haunt these adobe ruins lost in the sands of time?


The Virginia & Truckee Train Yard and Tunnel #4 are examples of true western Railroad History. At one time the tunnel was also the site of Fort Homestead as it protected the miners of Gold Canyon. After 80 years this shortline railroad went bust only to be restored to nearly its former glory with this very train yard that is carefully restores these haunting relics of the past in Virginia City. Coloma California was the first site where gold was discovered which brought on the Gold Rush where over 80,000 pioneers sought the golden fleece. For some they struck wealth for others it was tragedy. Even those that discovered the gold here didnt strike it rich as greedy prospectors murdered one another in hopes of claiming its prize as commodity prices soared. Once the miners took everything the town died as fast as it rose to glory!  Today this ghost down bares the mark of over 150 years of history and perhaps even its unseen spirits. 



The Bayley House also known as "Bayley's Folley" was the site where some of the first wine making in California took place. It also was a hotel that hosted elaborate parties and prominent guest. With its observatory, grand ball room, parlors and spiral staircase there was no mansion of that time that compared to this grandeur work of architecture. Do the dearly departed still dance in its ball room or watch as those pass by? Perhaps only the goats that graze its property know of its strange tales!



Foresthill Historic Cemetery was erected for the early pioneers of the gold rush who mined the American River below it. Today this burial ground serves the community rather then just the Protestants and is rumored to be haunted. If it isnt haunted it sure is one of the sierras greater more elaborate burial grounds with views of the Foresthill Divide a canyon that is so monolithic the views are scary!





Last Chance resides along the Foresthill Divide where the American River rushes through the sierras. During the gold rush this secluded site is where prospectors found gold in 1850 only to return to build this once thriving community that boasted saloons, hotel, stores, Masonic lodge, cabins and 8 miles of underground tunnels. Last Chance was known for its hydraulic mining which today is considered unethical nearly for over a century. We dare you to journey with us to one of the scariest ghost towns in the high sierras as we take on the supernatural . This ghost town is so eerie that it may just be even your Last Chance!


Michigan Bluff was once a thriving Gold Rush town of 3000 that overlooked the Foresthill Divide. Due to Hydraulic Mining and Tunnels under the town it plunged into the abyss in a land slide for nearly two miles. Between this tragedy and a massive fire the town dwindled to only a few residents. Today a few  structures including its historic Masonic Cemetery are all that remains today.  Residing along the western trail this ghost town was a very important community to  Last Chance and Deadwood. Leland Stanford a donor to the great Stanford University once operated a business and his house can still be seen today.


Deadwood California began in 1852 when gold was discovered here in nearby canyons.  This desolate town faced many hardships such as its residents freezing to death due to the heavy winter weather and even disasters such as avalanches. Mining would continue but the forest would consume this area leaving only its cemetery behind which leads down a dark path with only a memorial to remind us of the battles that these early pioneers fought. The town was home to Sam Colt famous gunmaker and today it is also home to the unseen residents who came to Deadwood only never to have left!



Fredericksburg Cemetery contains many ranchers who were devout Masons. Residing at the base of the sierras in a small hillside community there is more then just early rancher history that lurks within here. A couple of these ranchers haunt the old ranch up the road and this burial ground.






The Loganbill Ranch is a fine historical example of early Sierra homesteading. The ranch is haunted by a couple who lived out there days here. This was at one time a place of happiness as well as tragedy. Today this deplorable ranch is full of rats and many strange finds. Pine Grove Nevada is a mere remnant of what it once was in the mid 1800s. Located in the heart of the Toiyabe National Forest this rich mining camp outlasted longer then most of them. Genoa Historic Cemetery is rumored to be Nevada's oldest cemetery. Many of its interments were Masons, Oddfellows and Mormons who were the first to settle this historic community. Today the cemetery is overshadowed by the sierras and home to Snowshoe Thompson the father mail courier of the high sierras. Tour this haunted burial ground as we walk amongst the wrought iron plots in search of the supernatural. Apparitions, rock throwing ghosts and haunting footsteps are just some of the occurrences at this eerie place of the dearly departed. Step inside of you dare!


Mottsville Historic Cemetery is all that remains of the settlement of this small community which formed along the Emigrant Trail. Although this cemetery is the only remnant it was also the site of the orginal homestead where many historical occurrences took place. Do the Mott's haunt this graveyard or some of the earliest settlers who came to rest at Genoa's sister settlement?



Happy Hunting Grounds Cemetery is a forgotten little place nestled in the Pine Nut wilderness. At one time these lands were gathering and hunting grounds for the ancient Washoe tribes. Later only gold and silver miners would discover it for its weath. Much of the historic towns of Minden and Gardnerville utilized its pines for lumber. Today not many signs of the past remain of what once however the burial ground which should be called Happy Haunting Grounds is an entirely different story.



Hot Springs Canyon is loitered with granite rocks and heavy foliage making it an ideal situation for monsters in the woods such as Sasquatch to coexist with man. At one time its springs and lush valley were home to the Washoe tribe. Eventually early pioneers settled this valley only to turn its springs into an attraction.  Does an unknown creature lurk in the darkness of this canyon surrounded by its volcanic peaks?  The truth will shock you!




The cave of the red haired GIANTS also known as Lovelock Cavern may have been one of the greatest discoveries in all of North America. When the Paiutes came to the Great Basin what they discovered was a hostile tribe who ate their kin. Eventually it all came down to a final battle where man versed beast killing all the remaining cannibalistic beasts in this very cave. Rochester Nevada during its heyday produced over 9 million dollars in Gold and Silver. At one time this town named after Rochester NY boasted saloons, hotels, dance halls, an orchestra and even a railroad. Donovan's Mill perhaps was not only one of the most successful ore processing plants in the Comstock but it was the first of its kind introducing a metallurgical  breakthrough using cyanide within the Comstock Lode. Today this eerie mill still remains in tact haunted only by its ghost of the past, old wise owls and true mining history. The Old Washoe Club once was a place where Virginia Cities elite Millionaire's could parttake in their most eccentric fantasies, poker games, gambling and discuss their business empires. Today it is rumored to be one of the most haunted sites in the wild west as apparitions of a little girl, lady in blue and prospector are often sighted. Although this was a place of good times it also has a darker history as tales of murder, suicide and even the decased were stacked in its crypt till the ground thawed in the spring. What dirty little secrets are hidden within its walls?


The Union Mill & Mining Company was formed to process the ore from many other foreclosing mines in the Comstock.  The wealth of this company led to the development of the Virginia & Truckee railroad which unified many of the local mines in the region. Today it sits overlooking seven-mile canyon in desolation like a temple eroding away with time. Only its ghosts of the miners who perished deep within its tunnels haunt its mining roads, ruins and ravines surrounding one of Virginia Cities largest milling companies!


Virginia Cities Comstock Trail may just have some of the most beautiful vistas overlooking this historic haunted mining town, six-mile and gold canyons. But its also known for having many lonely roads that lead to burial sites, an old quarry, mines, mills and remnants of the past relevant to the cities development. Their are many trails and many tales as only its ghosts watch from the shadows as those quietly pass by. Guaranteed you will never look at Virginia City the same as we take on the very dismal locations that led to the rise of one of America's greatest mining towns in the wild west!


 The Winchester Mystery House was a 38 year ongoing project that truly never came to an end up until its owner died from a heart attack. Sarah Winchester believed that the victims of her deceased husband gun company haunted her blood line thus an occultist told her to build a house to confuse and trap evil spirits so that she would not meet the same fate as her beloved husband and daughter. Today this 160 room Victorian Mansion in San Jose is full of strange tales of ghosts making it a top paranormal travel destination. La Misión de Nuestro Padre San Francisco de Asís also known as Mission Delores is the oldest remaining structure in all of San Francisco when the Spaniards came to the region to teach Christianity to its natives. For over two centuries the mission has had a colorful history all the way from the collapse of its church in the 1906 quake to the pope touring its Basilica which was the first of its kind west of the Mississippi. At one time many early pioneers and natives were buried within its cemetery which was reduced when the city of was transformed which adds to its dark history where mass graves are found under buildings, houses, streets and its parish playground. Tour one of the cities greatest historical treasures where its ghost quietly haunt this parish who remain forgotten!




 
The Neptune Society Columbarium is the remaining sole survivor of the old Odd Fellows Cemetery which was a massive burial ground relocated to Colma. At one time this neo-classical building fell into despair as in the 1980's it was restored. Today it is truly one of the only remaining non-denominational cemeteries within San Francisco's city limits. We invite you to tour its marble halls and amongst its stained glass windows as with each internment resembles a history museum for the deceased. Only its ghost haunt its grounds where its grave stones were used to build a sea wall as its property was consumed by other structures leaving behind only this lovely piece of architecture.
