Easter week was a HUGE milestone for The Paranormal & Ghost Society. As you know every holiday we go with the holiday themes so all I really needed is my herb, backpack and a fuzzy set of bunny ears which was enough to motivate me to get back to doing what we do best which is seeking out the strange.
 
I had a great week of adventures planned as one of our members flew out Sue Adams so I really wanted her to have the wild west experience. That includes the offroading, hiking, climbing, snow, ghost towns, remote locations and of course you at least have to come close to losing your life or its not fun at all lol. I have to admit it was a bit fun coming home each night and rubbing it in about all the adventuring I was doing each day lol to my friends! :D
 
This was one of the hardest weeks of my life because at the time I was in the middle of moving into a new place then I had to in the process go back to the old place to clean up the property. So I spent nearly two straight days moving my things then two straight days cleaning then five straight days of hiking, driving and investigating. It was go go go at times the only thing keeping me going is knowing all the great things to come. On top of it my kitty had kittens so I been also trying to make sure they were cared for so many many things all going on at the same time talk about a chaotic week!
 
Rather then focus on a bunch of sites I would instead find much large projects for us to do work on. Its amazing how you can go to one place and explore only to find many more places that you never knew existed. Their are no limits to where we will go or what we will do I am all about the journey even if it kills me I do not care it is what we signed up for no more no less. That is the true code of a real paranormal investigator it is who I am and I hope that I can serve as a pillar of strength to future people who want to truth seek like we do everytime we journey!!!
 
Sue and my sons would accompany me in a series of journeys that I am sure will not be forgotten in a long time. How can we forget such a great week for example the blood moon? Moving into a new place? It was not just a fresh start for where I am living but we had spent over a month off to pack and relocate that we really needed a good week of solid investigating to take that edge on off.
 
We would visit the following sites being Dutch Flat German Cemetery, Dutch Flat Chinese Cemetery, Semi-Ghost Town of Dutch Flat, Donner Lake Pass Railroad Tunnels, Grantsville Nevada, Star City Nevada and finally Showers Lake. Some of these locations were pretty hard to get to so I really commend Sue she rented a Nissan Xterra the all terrain offroading truck and I truly believe it saved our lives. I am glad Sue put trust into me and handed me the keys id say within a week I probably put easily 900 miles on it just driving into the wilderness. Which is fine if you really want to see the most remote places on Earth your going to have to drive deep within these locations so it was 110 percent worth the adventure.
 
I know when Sue first arrived I took her on a back road along the sierras just to give her a taste of what is to come. She seemed rather overtaken with all the mountains I will say one thing once you visit here your perspective on life will change. It might be vast but it is freaking beautiful it never gets old journeying in the mountains so I really hope she enjoyed all the things I showed her. Allot of places we did I worked near or around these locations but most of the places were new for me too so I had no idea what I might find or see. By the end of the week I had climbed mountains, nearly rolled the truck, traversed snow drifts higher then me and even explored places deep underground. 
 
The first night Sue was at my place things were chaotic I had to clear pathways because everything was either blocked or inaccessible. We drank some brews I made some lasagna and everyone passed out that night lol. Sue was off catching flies on my couch while I was so tired I just put my mattress on my bedroom floor and went to bed. Anyhow......
 
Sue would come out on a Sunday by Tuesday we were heading out to our first location which was Dutch Flat a place that resides in the Sierra foothills. It is not as high of an elevation and on the Ca the foothills this time of year are blooming with flowers and little snow. So I felt it was a good starter investigation for her because honestly everything else we would do would be thousands of feet high up in the mountains and well if your not use to it you can get elevation sickness so I gradually worked her into easy to intermediate to eventually advanced which is something id probably do with most of you who come out to visit or volunteer for our group as a courtesy to all of you. That does not mean I wont drive you to bust your ass we hike for miles upon miles in one day I wont lie and yes ill push you hard because this is not television what we do here its the real McCoy!
 
Dutch Flat German Cemetery
 
My day would start much earlier as I stayed up to watch the entire blood moon eclipse. Ill be featuring photos of the blood moon that I have not posted online of this event taken with a high powered zoom and telescope. I got some really nice shots of the moons craters and red hue just a couple hours from us heading off to Dutch Flat in the A.M.
 
This is a really great cemetery its a true symbol of what an early immigrant cemetery would look like in the west. Often you picture the wild west as a vast desert but in this case this hilly cemetery sits in the national forest in the sierra foothills.
 
When we rolled through Dutch Flat I was amazed at how it felt like we stepped back into the 1800's. The cemetery actually sits on a hillside that overlooks the town at least the German section does. The Chinese section is hidden deeper into the forest no less both have this eerie feeling. Being a sensitive I can generally feel the dearly departed stronger at some places then others but it takes allot of convincing for even me to say if a place is haunted.
 
Sue had brought her Ovilus honestly I never had anyone use one of these on an investigation call me old school but I am very skeptical when it comes to such pieces of equipment and she agrees with me its more for entertainment then anything. That does not mean that at times when something pops up that it does not seem a bit odd considering we had a few hits here.
 
We also had some EMF activity here nothing to high or to long but again we have to consider the possibility that something paranormal could be here. The entire cemetery sits on a sloping hill its pretty centralized so their are not many lone graves here.
 
The German cemetery was full of stone walls and of course nearly every grave had an interment of someone with a German name which probably was given to them in their home countries which is what makes this place so historically amazing!
 
The cemetery is next to the historical Wellspring House where this pit lab mix came out running to us. Its always nice to see a friendly dog to pet on my journeys being that I am an owner of two rescue dogs myself.
 
Some of the graves had wrought iron others were nestled under large old trees. I also had noticed allot of different wild flowers were growing and many of the trees were in full bloom. Spring in the foothills is absolutely gorgeous all the way to the scents to the natural waterfalls that form this time of year.
 
Also within the cemetery was this foliage with purple flowers growing all around most of the graves. Their were lots of tall monuments and I have to say being from the mid 1800's the conditions of the gravesites were well taken care of which is a rarity nowadays.
 
I would take my readings, EVP sessions and photos then we found this trail that went up into the woods. Where would it lead? What would we find?

This is the dog that came to greet us in the cemetery you may think this is a rarity but over the years of visiting cemeteries I have befriended many dogs and so far everyone of them has been very loving. The boys and I pet the dog as it came up to us so if you do visit here just be aware this girl does watch over the cemetery treat her with respect.
Sure took this I mean I have heard of I piss on your grave but I shit on your grave? REALLY!!! This could have been made by someones dog maybe even a mountain lion. No less its a sad site to see on a Masonic grave that probably has been forgotten from the decades that have passed by.
