I am walking around St. Thomas the sun is just coming up video is dark sorry but their was nothing but high brush all around us as we were trying to beat this mega storm that was coming in over the mountains. We were pressed for time due to the fact that if it started to rain flash flooding could lead to us getting stuck out here or possibly even death. St. Thomas was underwater for many years then when the lake dried out the foundations became exposed however the area is very overgrown and even with the sun coming up very dark. About 4 minutes into this video you can see the entire road was washed out and very much unexpected. I had no choice but to drive through it as the road was washing out beneath us due to flash-flooding. St. Thomas NV is a ghost town which sits below the mountains and bluffs. Although it rarely rains here when it does the flash flooding can pour into canyons and washes thus causing extreme dangers. Back many years ago in a location not far from here a similar storm occurred causing a wall of water over 20' high killing a couple dozen people This is a do or die video its raining poor visibility as I try to get out of this location before disaster strikes. As we get more into the clip you will see that dawn is setting in so the video becomes more bright. We just left the St. Thomas area the rain and winds were horrible as we passed through Overton NV. Flash floods and high winds took down trees and damaged structures. The roads were out and I had no choice but to up my speed going as far as I could into the Mojave Desert.
