Subj: [ParanormalSinCity] My Haunting Adventure This Past Weekend.....

It has been a few weeks since our last investigation as I been so busy between children's birthdays all the way to going to last weeks hockey game at the MGM Grand. Now here we are the most important time of year for any paranormal group including ours so we wanted to bring our viewers something haunting that is going to stand out on our site.

Their are no limits to what I will or not do as a paranormal investigator. I think that is why I am taking my time recruiting the right members to our team because the places we visit are sometimes just that amazing and we value all of them.

This past weekend we visited many various sites which include Southern Nevada Mine Company, Cyrus Nobel Mine, Quartette Mine, Kay Manor and a second investigation at Shoshone Mines. These were some really large locations with old bottles......major mine shafts.....mill ruins etc lots to explore. This is also an area if time permitted based on how soon I leave the area would be a great area to return to in search of more hidden locations.

What a great year it has been for us so many new places we been visiting we been so productive in 2010 and this is only the beginning. Tammy has also become a very great investigator for our group and this past weekend she was a big help to me. Then of course we get everybody including their cousin and granny who say they are into the paranormal that is why they diss me for investigations. Sadly some of the locations we go are private and we will not disclose them so booo for them.

Anyhow it was a great weekend we covered 12 hours of hiking its sometimes interesting to bring this little gadget that records the miles we hike. Again we would encounter everything from off roading....to rock climbing.....to eerie holes in the ground. I wouldn't miss it for the world and so Tammy and I packed up our supplies heading out of Vegas under the crescent moon.

If its one thing I have learned in my years investigating is that not having a moon can be a disadvantage especially when you offroad miles to the middle of nowhere then you step out not even being able to see your hand in front of your face. I was a little disappointed on this trip due to the fact that many of the mines were blasted shut something our Senator wants to have done sadly erasing history....and destroying some really good haunts. Its strange how deep shafts are kept wide open while safe tunnels are sealed shut kind of contradicting. I am not a huge fan of senator Harry Reid I seriously think he might ruin allot of what NV stands for.

Tammy and I would start off the night pulling off down some unmarked dirt road something I tend to do allot then I am stuck doing a 20 point turn just to get out of the place. Our first warm up of the night would be a mine that was not in my notes. We noticed their were these deep trenches and this shaft that had a hole that looked eternal. We were actually looking for a mill site when we stumbled across this one instead.

Tammy and I had fun sliding down some hills we found a bunch of scattered debris. We went down a really steep hill full of loose rock Tammy went sledding for about 10 feet got a huge bruise on her butt lol.

When it comes to mine exploring you have to look for the signs otherwise if you do not you can walk past a mine and not even know it. Sometimes these mines were at one time camps so you might find foundations and such or small artifacts buried in the rocks left behind by the miners. We found one of the entrances bombarded with a sign extending out from it. I found a foundation and even a water tower on the hill.

We always have fun driving down dark eerie roads I think this gives me the most enjoyment taking an unknown road which might reveal something to us. I did not feel much eeriness here but I knew we were in for a dark night the moon was dim and we had a series of locations that we would be adventuring in and so our first visit would take place at the Southern NV Mine Company.

Southern NV Mine Company

I went down this rocky hill and pulled up next to this mill site. The mill itself was in pretty bad shape no doors or windows on it. However I was excited due to the fact not much remains standing anymore at these mine sites. If you find something that you can set up base camp at its almost a have to when it comes to exploring it. The mill had two other rooms and it was in deplorable condition.

Tammy sat inside on a concrete foundation while I had her take some EVPs. I took a look around on the outside noticed a giant chute for ore. Their was also a water tank and some large foundation on the property. The one room had a couch in it while the roof collapsed with that in mind you could see plants growing inside and dirt slipping through the cracks as it was collapsing.

The mill site had scattered debris all around everything from TNT boxes to piles of wood. Behind it was a fireplace and mantle left behind which means that someone lived on this site at one time. We also found a power line that went to the mill which means at one time electricity probably ran to the location but in addition to that I found an older power line pole down behind it.

We spent a good amount of time doing recordings and eventually took this old road which led us to the mine shaft. Their was a giant crater with this wood tripod and rails leading diagonally down into the darkness. I would not dare venture close but we took some photos around the wood contraption and of some old mining machinery nearby. I did find a safe way into the crater so I could get closer to the shaft to get some photos.

I bet down inside this place is some pretty good ghost activity the problem is that if I am correct this is the mine that has a 1400 foot shaft which stat wise is taller then most sky scrapers in major cities lol. We decided to move on and we took this road which led us to another entrance to the mine this one however was collapsed although at one time this is how the miners entered into this location while the diagonal shaft the ore was brought up from.

We noticed on the other side of the hill some business or house way off behind the mine. I did not stay to long out of respect. I was a little disappointed that we did not find a way into the main entrance but at the same time it was a pretty interesting area to explore as the mill and mine extended a couple hundred feet.

I also found some odd ventilation pipe that stuck out of the ground....a few drums......and I believe a couple wood railroad ties. I believe that this was one hell of an operation at one time. We even found a stockpile of rusted cans from when the miners ate beans at one time.

We spent a good hour here then we moved on to our next location. Honestly their wasn't allot of activity here but I did feel some energy at the mill so will have to check our recorders. Their was a way to climb the hill behind the mill so we were actually standing at roof level behind it as well. We even found a third entrance to the mine but that was just a 8 foot deep hole with a wood ladder in it.

All in all if anything this place made some good exploring but this was just a warm up for more exciting things to come. The paranormal is a hit and miss not every place you go is going to have activity and if their is something hiding it usually lurks watching quietly amongst the shadows. I thought the mill was pretty odd it just had this strangeness about it.

We then decided to head on off to another mining location which we spent a good hour of our night looking for which turned out to be a no go. We never found it but we did find hidden in the hills a dry reservoir with this black tarp that was laid down covering the entire crater.

I was a little disappointed we did not find the mine but we had this fun little off road trip down a gas pipe road which had signs not to smoke and allot of rabbits running all over the place. I am not sure I ever been down a gas pipe road but this went for about 3 miles and we were not getting anywhere.

When we found a place by the road to hike we ended up climbing this small mountain and that's where the reservoir was along with some brand new sign with these two mines listed. My guess would be that they completely destroyed this mine to build the reservoir which had a little water at the bottom.

Near the reservoir were towers of crushed up rocks 50 to 100 ft in height. I thought this was pretty cool but it sucks to hike in a mile somewhere only to find a mine or ghost town no longer exist.

Tammy and I at this point hiked and offroaded in three locations so we were off to a good start and eventually we would head on up to the Nobel Mine where we would spend a couple hours at exploring due to the fact that this place was extremely large.

This is a mine shaft that leads down into a narrow hole an orb was captured. I do not believe much into orbs never have but some of our viewers like to see them posted. So prior to posting them we run a series of test to at least to show our viewers the authenticity of such anomalies like these.
