Devil's Ladder also known as the first summit was below one of the main ridges in all of the sierras used by gold seekers and early pioneers in the mid 1800s as a main route from NV and CA. The name Devil's Ladder derived from its extreme steepness from Red Lake to the summit which is roughly a mile. At the bottom of the ladder there was a trading post and generally most of the pioneers used ropes/chains to help pull the ox wagons to the summit wrapping them around the evergreen trees. After one wagon was pulled up the men traverse back to the bottom to help the next wagon. Some of them carried goods on there back and believe me its can be a pretty treacherous hike to the top. Our Paranormal team is working with this area in hopes of finding Sasqatch North America's Great Ape. This area is full of lore and surprises as it was one of the most well traveled pioneer routes as almost 100,000 pioneers made there way at one time through the high sierras!

Also at about 1 min. and 5 secs. to 1 min. and 7 secs. to the lower left you can see an animal walking from right to left. It may be a fox or coyote or even a Big Cat. Try freeze framing it and coming up with your own theories as to what kind of animal this is. You may have to enlarge the video to full screen to see it as I only captured a two second glimpse of it. This old wagon trail is becoming less friendly as we traverse down to the Red Lake area. Waterfalls, Season Creeks and Snow are just a few of the obstacles we would encounter. The trail at times is very overgrown and its a great time of year to explore as the ground in certain area is softer great for tracking Bigfoot.

As we continue to descend on the Devils Ladder the season creek and waterfalls nearly has washed out the road. In the beginning of the video we just made our way past all these obstacles and I get some film of the waterfall up close. Trust me one slip over the edge and your in for one hell of a waterslide right off the mountain and into red lake. Of course that is if you do not mind all the sharp rocks so we definitely had to use caution in this part of the wagon trail.
This is our final descent to Red Lake its a very decent hike one of the best I have ever been on. To our right we started hearing noises as if something was quietly stalking us from up on the wooded hillside. Could it be Sasquatch? That remains to be seen but we can speculate that something was indeed was up along this trail checking us out.

We have finally made it down to the shores of Red Lake which also reveals a couple huge surprises. The lake is a bit choppy lots of high winds but the views from the lake shore are phenomena and definitely worth sharing with our viewers.
It appears that this set of tracks derives from the lake shore then eventually goes off up into the forest that surrounds the lake. These tracks definitely have toe impressions and are flat footed. The strides are fairly large and they are semi deep. In one of the tracks you can physically see a couple toe impressions and scrape marks caused by possibly non-manicured toenails. If this was a Bigfoot it was not a very large one as the tracks measured a little over a foot in length.

Nightfall is starting to settle in wish we had more time but we will return to this region a number of times. This is my overview about the tracks we found. It appears there is two sets of tracks one is heading away from the lake the other one comes out through some thick brush and heads off into the national forest. Almost every track found had fairly good toe impressions while some were deeper then others. Welcome folks to Bigfoot Country!
Something is lurking in the woods as darkness is setting on in. We seen an entire tree move as if something crossed the path and ran down the side of the hill. Then later during filming we heard something moving up along Devils Ladder to our left in the very overgrown forest. It could be an animal or maybe just maybe it is Sasquatch the curious creature watching as we are traversing in his territory.

Nightfall has set in we are nearly in pitch darkness as we try to make our way out of Red Lake and up along the Devils Ladder. In this video we cross rapids and a waterfall that has washed out the trail. I mainly posted this video for its audio as I give my final conclusions about the exploration and occurrences here. You can see some snow in the video about the only thing that is white or bright within the darkness. Feeling watched up here is only half of the battle in these parts it gets dark very early. This is a rather entertaining film to finish off our first expedition!
My first fish in this region sure was a real a killer eh? lol this is a mixed video showing the scenery in the area surrounding Red Lake with a bit of trout fishing. This is said to be one of the better lakes for fishing in the High Sierras.
