Rock Point Mill
Exploration 2

Normally with most cases we try to visit during the day first then come back later at night to see if there is a variance in the paranormal activity which would be taking place.

I realized by visiting here during the day I would get to see allot more of the sites surrounding the mill then our original first visit. This would be an awesome way to get some daytime video footage so that our viewers can see the difference between dawn and dusk.

Tammy and I would start off our adventure by parking up at the Dayton State Park which is a beautiful parcel of land full of cottonwoods, canals and the Carson River.

I ran into a ranger while hiking he told me he is impressed that we paid the self pay to hike here as I was informed most do not. But my take on it is that you should pay it helps keep the parks running and maintained.

Tammy and I enjoyed seeing a variety of dragon flies including shitloads of rabbits hopping across the various trails. There were islands exposed on the river islands that were not visible in the spring due to the river being flooded from the melting snow. We found hidden near the river a bike all covered in moss ill post a photo of it below. It makes you wonder whose bike it is or what happened to the person. Did they fall into the river and get swept away in the current while mountain biking? Was it dumped there? Is the person even still alive?

Beyond the state park is either Mary's tunnel which takes you under the Hwy. to the Rock Point Mill or you can go off into the high desert mountains. It was only day and the moon was already hovering over those mountains so the view was stellar that is for sure.

We found hidden in the woods an old levee system for one of the canals and our main concern here was rattle snakes. Hiking in the high desert during the summer also means you may come across snakes more often so we had to tread carefully as some trails were overgrown with tall grass.

We made our way through Mary's Tunnel where we could see the mill all built into tiers on the hillside and the giant water tower. During the night all you can see are concrete foundations up close but during the day you can see almost the entire mill in one shot.

Like a big kid I climbed all the different tiers of the mill and standing on top allowed me to get views of other areas as well. We also went into two separated storage rooms built into the hillside and rock. Both rooms were much cooler then the hot sun that provided us with no relief.

I would hike more this time around as we crossed over a dam and down into a dry lake where we had a picnic. Its hard to believe that at one time where I was dining there was a lake there. Now all that is around were old cottonwoods and picnic benches.

When we returned to the mill ruins in the evening we were able to find a variety of foundations including a few hidden in the woods. There was also a few mangled rusty old automobiles found out in the desert. I didn't see any mines in the area but I know up in the hills beyond the mill there probably are a few. Some of them mined cyanide so you have to be very careful as to where you explore.

Allot of lizards came out to play one of them had blue on his back it was a specimen I have not seen in NV rather interesting. The ruins are a place where many species of wildlife live sadly I wish Tammy wouldn't have ran out of batteries on the first investigation as she made friends with a kangaroo rat.

I would type a more extensive report but the videos really give you a great idea of the type of place this is so we hope you will take the time to view them. By no means am I as good as an animal planet producer but our videos are more up, close and personal then if you were to read our reports.

I do plan on visiting a third and final time here this time however our third visit will focus more on the scientific analysis of entity research. It was such a pleasant hike Tammy wore flip flops.....I was dressed like I was going for a stroll on a boardwalk and we came out of the location with some great photos.

What really amazes me is the size of this mill and its foundations. Today the Rebar and wood ties still remain in place. We would eventually cross back under into Mary's Tunnel and make our hike back to where we had parked. The sun was starting to set the breeze felt so good and we were the only ones exploring the area.

I cannot wait to return here for a third visiting this location is truly a historic wonder!
