Cole Creek is about six miles outside of the Bear Lake reservoir. This area in particular is primitive so this is where we set up our camp for our first expedition in the region. At the moment the creek is very low as it runs through a very deep canyon with ridges on both sides of us. Notice how rocky the creek bed is you would not want to white water raft here in the spring! This was taken during our arrival prior to sundown our first night here.

This den looks as if something has been laying down inside of it as their is bedding and the sand has been compressed. Normally this den lays hidden under the raging waters of Cole Creek however low water has exposed it thus this is a great start to day two on our first expedition in the region.

It did not take to long for things to heat up while hiking in the El Dorado National Forest. The first incident we had happen was a pine cone was thrown at us. Keep in mind their are no cones in any of the trees. The second is a series of tracks we found prior to this clip. I do believe we were at least heading in the right direction this is a very off the beat remote location.

We had made it to the ridge above Cole Creek to give our viewers this spectacular view. I had a hard time climbing this big rock to stand on it was smooth with nothing to grip onto but eventually we succeed. You can clearly see based on this clip we are miles from nowhere more Bigfoot reports coming in from this region then just about anywhere else in the state of California and you can see why!

While hiking along the ridge we found this massive pile of stool and a very large track. Prior to me turning on the cam I seen a bipedal creature with light brown long shaggy hair run between two trees. It was made of pure muscle at least from what I could tell based on its broad shoulders and large legs. Unfortunately by the time I turned on my cam this Bigfoot like creature vanished in the area we were examining this evidence we found.

We are doing what we do best which is examining the evidence a bit further. Mostly what we are doing in this clip is taking stool samples. The problem is if its not fresh and has been out in the sun to long DNA may be literally impossible to get from it. This area which is off the beat seems to be a focal point for Bigfoot activity.

What makes this region such a great area for Bigfoot is the vast forest of pines. It does not matter where you hike out here the woods are very dense. The are creatures that like allot of foliage and trees that is why they are so hard to see. Honestly by viewing this clip would you be able to spot one of these creatures hiding in these woods?

We finally made it back to camp on day two its mid afternoon as we been hiking for about a half of day on top of the ridge behind camp. It has been successful and well what we are gathering is that something may be lurking above our site. When we put into consideration all the tracks found near camp, ridge, stool and the fact that Rascal our first night would not go beyond our site it is apparent that this might be a Sasquatch hotspot.

Rascal is an American Bulldog mix a true gladiator dog that we adopted as a rescue. It has taken him over a year to mature enough to be able to be on board with me to hike long distances in search of Sasquatch. Day two of our first expedition him and I would hike up to a sister ridge across from camp or peak rather. His keen sense of smell would allow me to track down anything strange or unusual.

Rascal seems to be on the trail of something after he found a few very worn tracks in the woods. For the most part I let him lead the way which he seems to be taking me the safest way possible. Generally if I stop he will turn around and look at me to make sure I am coming. He is doing quite well for his first expedition in the wilderness.

Prior to this clip we heard loud banging noises in the forest. Its a very steep mountain we are climbing and allot of downed trees due to a fire years ago. I try in return to bang on the trees in hopes of getting some results. For those of you who are not aware Bigfoot communicates with others of its kind by banging on rocks and trees.

We are across from Cole Creek only this time on an opposite ridge so I call them the twin ridges. This ridge is give or take the same elevation and a couple miles below it is my camp. The forest here is not as dense due to a fire that struck the area however it still is very primitive and a place where humans do not tread.

Rascal appears to be leading me towards the very top of the ridge notice he is smelling the ground as he carves out the safest path for me to hike up. We still continue to find large impressions all they are distorted from the elements something at one time had to make them where will it lead us? Find out next!

We finally reached the ridges highest elevation where we found this impression. Their are no tread marks and its a fairly large track. In the next clip will examine it a bit further good job Rascal. This is a very primitive area considering we were a few miles now from camp we were literally in the land of nowhere. You can see in this clip the opposite ridge where I stood on earlier that morning its very far away!

In this video we are examining the track we just discovered and I posted a photo of another one I measured. Between the tree banging and multiple tracks we found on this ridge we can only speculate that this ridge also might be the site of some Bigfoot activity as well.

Prior to dark Rascal and I would make our descent off the ridge and mountain. The forest back in this region is not burnt thus its more dense. We found a series of deep impressions on the way down they were not worth measuring or filming but they were large enough to know something came through here at one time or another.

It is day three of expedition one and my plan is to hike as far as I could down Cole Creek till it flows out into the Mokelumne River. We come across this old zip line cart which is chained up. I assume that it was built to cross the creek since at times the water levels can be rather high and violent. We cross the creek to find a path to hike on sadly that path would dead end back at the creek eventually where we would just have to traverse the creek itself.

Since their were no trails along the creek we decided to play a game of rock hop scotch. Basically what you do is hop rock to rock for a couple miles and look for tracks along the banks. Although I did not find any tracks along the creek bed I was able to admire the beautiful nature. At times the creeks ravine became very steep giving us views of some beautiful rock formations along the way.

Another view of Cole Creeks Rocky Bed unlike most creeks in the region this one actually is full of boulders. We had some issues climbing some of them but managed to traverse it for a couple miles before we met up with the dam.

We are officially below the Cole Creek Dam you can see it in the distance which tells you how high the creek waters can get here. The dam stands nearly 35" in height so although its not monolithic it does retain some of the creeks water back. Were at a location where the creek is much deeper their are not as many rocks we spot some brook trout swimming around its rather serene.

The further you head downstream along Cole Creek the steeper the ravine gets to a degree that eventually you reach cliffs on both sides. We decide it would be best to part ways from Cole Creek so this is a clip looking down into the ravine. One wrong step could mean falling down into it crashing onto the rocks or into the deeper waters.

Our first stop leaving Cole Creek would be this hollowed out tree we found which also contains a large impression. In this clip I try to give you a view onto what a Bigfoot would see if he were to hide inside of the tree looking on out at perhaps other hikers. This part of the forest is also burnt so is this very old tree.

Jarrod and I climbed down from the ridge over a small creek as we were going to make our way to a flat area that overlooks the deep canyon of the Mokelumne River. The problem is we have to get through this thick brush first which is a mix of shrubs and thorn brush. I am already cut up pretty bad to make matters worse some of the brush is as tall as we are. In one instance I fell backwards and my feet became tangled in vines lol.

We found this hidden track in the brush its very worn hard to see but the toe impressions still remain. Something had to make it were not saying Bigfoot but then again not sure what human would ever walk barefoot through these thorn bushes just saying!

Above the overlooks on a hillside Jarrod and I discovered these massive rock formations bigger then some houses. Rock formations are a good place to search for caverns and dens. Although we had no success in finding Bigfoot's lair we did search them thoroughly during this clip.

This gorge or massive canyon you see below is the north fork of the Mokelumne River. We worked hard to get here and we even found a few tracks in this region that were rather large. This view is what it is all about I do not care how scratched up I am the photos we took here were unbelievable! We are so happy to bring our viewers such a great scenic video and we hope you enjoy it. Its not an easy area to access trust me!

We discovered a series of large tracks which dead ended at the cliffs of Cole Creek. We are not sure if something walked up to the cliffs edge where it drops off or something climbed down into the ravine to the creek itself. Their are no trails just allot of brush and steep peaks in the region. This was just a random find their are no tread marks so whatever made these had a fairly flat foot!

Jarrod and I hiked down into the wash over a season creek then through some brush atop of this peak where we were given great views of Salt Springs Reservoir. These are some of the best overlooks to view the reservoir from above. We are standing on a cliff and its just an amazing scenic view all of you are going to enjoy. No Bigfoot here just natural beauty at its best!

We are almost out of the sea of thorns after hiking for a half of mile through this stuff. I am cut up so bad legs are bleeding and its really taking its toll on me. Jarrod has pants but I was able to flatten some of the brush down for him to walk over. Our plan is to go through the brush where we can find access into the ravine then go through it and onto a nearby logging road we spotted on the other ridge.

We made it down into the ravine after climbing down a small cliff then sliding down to the creeks bed. Eventually we traversed upstream and having to tread through some of the water. Eventually I crossed the creek where I slid down the steep slippery rock you see in the clip cross over to where I shot this video. Just above me freedom awaits however not without a price. We would have to climb a 50' cliff to get out of the ravine grabbing rocks and trees. Its time to shut the camera off and hope I escape this creeks wrath once and for all!

It is day 4 camp is being packed on up this video is shot at Cole Creek and my site. These are my final thoughts or rather diary that talks a little bit about the entire expedition. It was this summer in 2012 our most successful Bigfoot adventure considering we found stool, tracks and I had my first sighting. Not to mention the massive scream that took place on the ridge behind our camp just above the creek it really turned out to be an epic adventure.

This is the Bear River Reservoir its divided into the upper and lower as the Bear River flows through it. Not only is the reservoir a great fishing spot but some call the headwaters of the river Devils Garden. The lower reservoir alone has 9 miles of shoreline just to put its size into perspective. The waters here are very blue and pristine its been for many years a region full of Bigfoot lore.

What a way to end journey one in this region with great video of the reservoir, dam and devils garden. It was an amazing expedition of course this area you are looking at is owned by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company for the Mokelumne Hydroelectric Project. The views in this area are very amazing 360 degrees and we hope you enjoy them as well!
