This road takes you to a variety of places which include Lake Tamarack, Sunset Lakes, Meadow Lake, The Pacific Crest Trail, Indian Valley and of course the foothills of Mount Raymond. From offroading back here for the most part its an average grade dirt road however there are a few rugged areas where seasonal creeks flow right over it. This area is full of rock formations created by various dormant volcanoes that once were active during the forming of the sierra mountain range. Our journey has began as we try to uncover Bigfoot in this region.

The hike to Mount Raymond starts along Sunset Lake and this road. In the video we came across this seasonal creek which flows across the road. It just makes the hike more adventurous. We are not at the trail yet however the road we are on follows various lakes within the region to some of the best camping areas in all of the sierras.

This truly would be the trail where my journey began up into the Mt. Raymond area. This trail is amazing as it gives great views of Sunset Lakes, Lush Meadows and even Snowy canyons. Just two miles on this trail is an area where there is a secluded lake nestled up along Mt. Raymond.

The trail seems to have ended near a snowy wash the only way to go is up. This area I found a bed of pine needles and branches as if something created it to rest on. The real adventure would began after this little did I know that my team was becoming extremely unwilling to hike and we had only been on the trail a short time. This area marks the foothills of Mt. Raymond which is a massive volcano that can be seen for miles in every direction.

One of the hardest parts of being a founder of a paranormal organization is not dealing with the unknown its dealing with those you bring onto your team then they totally let you down. In this case my team walked off and refused to continue to hike they went into panic attacks. They started to panic because the trail ended and they thought a storm was coming. However I continued the expedition by myself despite the fact that they had most of the equipment. Since the team abandoned me I was able to change the standards of the exploration which would be to hike straight up to the top of the peak and take the journey to places where very few ever get to go. I did succeed and by the time I made it to the top the sun peered through the clouds.

When I first filmed this video I was having a very difficult time breathing it would take me a little while to adjust to Mount Raymond's elements. The other factor was is that I was crawling on my hands and knees up to the lower part of the crown. The crown of Mount Raymond is composed of volcanic rock which sits around 9 to 10 thousand feet! When I was filming this little did I know the surprises that awaited me! Not any easy mountain to traverse on but eventually I would adjust to it and rather then let it conquer me I conquered it. It kind of makes you wonder how creatures like Bigfoot can survive in such a harsh terrain but then again that is why we the world keeps searching and it doesn't get any easier.

After finally making it up to a ridge the backside of the mountain it contained a very lush dense forest. In the middle of filming I heard a loud crash in the woods as if I startled something. You cannot hear it this may be attributed to the factor that the winds were very high and I was standing in an open area. I had clipped out an image we found while reviewing the film from where the noise originated from thus you can view it at the end of this film. After saving my cam and resting on the ridge as soon as I stood back up something snapped a tree from right to left and it ran off. It was big and it gave off a very awful odor. From here on and the rest of my journey I would be followed by something non threatening but very curious as to what my purpose was in an area very few men ever journey in.

The summit of Mt. Raymond is full of volcanic rock and at this elevation the winds are generally whipping. The summit gives you some of the best views of the sierras and sunset lakes. From this clip you can see the drop-offs and views of the valley below it really was a great area to film at.

Step right up to a volcanic world where climbing it truly is challenging. This rock as is very sharp thus in this clip I am trying to stay up on a ridge all the way to the summit area. The views are great up here however its a lonely world in itself. In a giant canyon to my left is a forested area an area I believe something was watching me from.

These spires near the summit were created from spewing lava which made these cathedral like formations. The spires can be seen from miles away so as I offroaded to the mountain I was able to see them. Little did I know that I would stand amongst them overlooking the entire valley and all its lakes below. This is truly a geological wonder.

I am a firm believer that where there is darkness there is also light. My team abandoned this journey due to there mother calling and telling them that a storm may be coming. By the time I reached the peak the winds ceased to exist and the sunset was gorgeous as it glimmered over sunset lakes. I have no problem saying I called it right and even if It turned out the other way I still would have hiked if it rained. This is what separates a true paranormal investigator and someone who takes no pride in searching for the unknown.

Sometimes its harder to come down off a mountain then it is to go up one wrong stumble could mean going into a very harmful roll. In this clip I plot my journey off the mountain to Indian Valley. I am sliding and slipping. All of sudden behind me where the spires are I hear something big coming the video ends. After I shut down the cam to concentrate on my descent I felt not only watched but heard something following me. Could whatever had been in the woods watching me followed me to its summit?

Welcome to the Jungle baby! By no means was this an easy task I had came across a drop-off so my only choice was to push my way through tall brush and foliage. The problem was is the ground was very soft and my ankles were being entwined with the brush. Then you also have to deal with the snakes and slippery mud. By the time I made it out of here my legs were all cut up they have thistle brush mixed in with other plants I never have seen in my life.

As I made my way to the lower part of Raymond Peak the skies filled with black as a swarm of mosquitoes covered my face and arms. We actually have a couple photos on our website at www.paranormalghostsociety.org in our archives showing this factor however you can also see them in this video. Not only did I end up having some fly into my mouth but when I wiped off my arms at least 50 of them were peeling off my skin. The mosquito s may be attributed by the meadows wetland nearby which is a shallow lake with allot of still water making it a breeding ground for such a swarm. Notice I have almost made it off the mountain and now I am in a forested area that eventually takes me back to where I started off my hike originally.

After rock climbing, sliding, cutting through lush forest, hopping over seasonal creeks and facing the swarm I come out onto the dirt road. This is the same dirt road which follows Sunset Lake and will take me to Indian Valley where the truck is parked. At this time there is no signs of my team anywhere I can only imagine about this time right now they are being eaten alive. At least at the peak there was no mosquitoes thus id rather be hiking then hiding any-day.

One of our team members left my bug spray in the back of the truck so you can only imagine how bad the swarm became as I hiked past Sunset Lake on the way to the truck. I thought these were tracks but since I had bugs in my eyes I was wrong however earlier I did find some toe impressions not to far from this location. As you can see from the video I was stressing urgency to wrap up the exploration so that I could get back to the truck and get some bug spray to ward off the skeeters. Above all things I can actually say I been eaten head to toe lol.

You have no idea how much I want to kiss my truck. I have beer at the truck in the cooler, bug spray and plenty of supplies. To my surprise there was no sign of any of my team members its as if they never even been at the truck. Then I realized that accidentally both sets of keys were left with me. Anyhow after miles of hiking, climbing, hopping streams, sliding and journeying it is over. Well its almost over see parts 18 through 20! Considering how our new members of our team freaked about leaving the trail I felt I did pretty good alone. I had no Compass, GPS or even a map. Yet I made it off the summit and back to truck prior to sunset!

After arriving back at the truck I decided to treat MYSELF to a little offroading out in Indian Valley. I figured the same team that left me in the wilderness could cope with the woods since I had to cope with exploring Mount Raymond by myself lol. But anyhow this is Indian Valley its a lush meadow which obviously has suffered a heavy amount of flooding from snow melting off the mountain. The grass is extremely tall the roads are a bit rugged but while having a bit of fun it gave me some of the best views of Raymond Peak from afar.

This is the part where I go out and search for my team whom decided to walk out on the investigation. What is ironic about all of this is was there was no storm, I didn't get lost and I covered more miles out near Raymond Peak then a squirrel on crack. Point being is when I was driving down the forested roads I found my team swatting at mosquitoes and they looked in worst shape then me. Anyhow to make matters worst the other team members lost a flash light in the woods meanwhile Tammy wasn't even with the other party members. I guess this is why you don't separate from me shame shame! Its pretty sad that over the years we get people who want to do this then they wander around aimlessly doing what they want in the end they put themselves at risk. They are lucky that I happened to find them what if whatever was stalking me on Mount Raymond got to them? The paranormal is as not as dangerous as the stupidity of mankind!

At night this is one hell of a road to maneuver on between the seasonal creeks that have ashed out the roads to its rugged terrain. I have the entire team with me and we are making our way home. Its a pretty eerie location at night as the area tends to clear out. These are my final thoughts and we look forward to continuing this series in the future. As I said going home never felt so good!

In 2012 we would conduct our second expedition in the Mt. Raymond region which is surrounded by the Eldorado Forest and Mokelumne Wilderness. We would set up our camp on summit lake which is very offbeat overshadowed by this extinct volcano. This would be our first of four nights of the expedition. Let me give you a tour of our camp and where we would call home this time around.

Raymond Lake resides at over 9k behind Mt. Raymond. We would set off on the morning of day two along Summit Lake eventually reaching the Pacific Crest Trail. We had miles of hiking ahead of us as we would have to go completely around the summit to get to this hidden lake.

Entering the Mokelumne Wilderness begins on the east side of Mt. Raymond although their are other ways to hike into it the adventure started here. This area encompasses over 100,000 acres and is known for its granite landscape. We would began our ascension to the top of Mt. Raymond and its lake.

The trail at times behind Mt. Raymond is very steep and narrow. The rewards of hiking on it is some gorgeous scenic overlooks of the Mokelumne Wilderness and NV High Desert in the distance. We would not stay on this trail very long but we did follow it a couple miles to enjoy the view on the journey.

We decided to get on the PCT by following the creek which drains out of Raymond Lake then cutting up this very large hill. The problem is not so much how steep the hill is but the loose terrain which is often decomposing granite which makes it hard to get traction. Towards the end of the video I struggle to ascend and end up falling pretty typical in volcano country.

The PCT begins in Mexico and ends in Canada passing through six of North Americas Eco systems. This section of the trail happens to pass through the backside of Mt. Raymond as we move in closer to the lake. This trail boast some of the most beautiful scenic country side on the west coast you can possibly see. We hope you enjoy it as well!

Jarrod decided to get way ahead of everyone else then made this video of us hiking further below the hill. I think its so precious that he is trying to make videos on our expeditions. He is a young producer with a long ways to go but is learning how important it is to film our feats.

When we reached the end of the trail it ended at Raymond Lake a pristine Jewel. Honestly the aqua water, Mt Raymond's spires and beautiful foliage gives you that lost world sort of feeling. I waited over a year to visit this lake one of the highest elevated lakes in all of the sierras. We came here to check for tracks but also to enjoy a bit of nature.

As we walk around the lake I give our viewers a tour. Notice how shallow the lake is for the first 15' then it drops off. Not only are their cutthroat trout found here but at over 9k the scenic beauty below the lake itself is stellar. We could not find any tracks along the lake since its entire short is very rocky considering we are at the summit of an extinct volcano welcome to the grand tour of paradise!

I remember Jarrod kept climbing hills looking for a Silver Wolf he sighted earlier. He was very upset that it ran off and that he didn't get a video of it. So this time around he is running the cam in hopes of seeing it again. Although wolves supposedly no longer occupy the sierras on occasion a rogue one is seen. Jarrod explained to me the wolf he sighted was by itself and its leg was very bloody as if it had been attacked by something.

I found this large hand print on a sandy part of the trail now its possible somebody fell catching themselves. However not to far from this very location I did find a large series of toe impressions in some mud. We are making are descent back to camp the sun is setting and we have about 5 miles to traverse.

Let us show you what happens when you step off the trail although it is fun throwing rocks and seeing how far you can toss them it also allows us to vent off some steam. Their are certain degrees in the trail where their are drop offs one misstep around Mt. Raymond and you can kiss your keester goodbye.

Adjacent through a small patch of woods and granite rocks are the Sunset Lakes. They are so secluded and nestled that you would never know they were there unless you hiked to them on foot. The water here is so pure and blue that its pristine. We were heading out on day three when we passed by the lake on our way to a place called Hell Hole which instead led us up near the Forestdale Divide region.

We found this vista point rock climbing a few hundred feet above Lake Tamarack which gave us great views of Mt Raymond as well. The sun was starting to set so it was time to head back we were already miles from camp to begin with. We ended up near Forestdale Divide never found Hell Hole Lake since our gps was off unfortunately but this vista made up for it!

As I always say be all you can be join The Paranormal & Ghost Society! This is perhaps the comical part of our exploration. When you hike for miles and do not find your destination all you can do is laugh sit back enjoying the view around you.

Let me tell you a story about the serpent and the American Bulldog lol! Actually I will just let you watch this video. Around camp we found frogs and our last day on expedition two this snake which is harmless. Nonetheless Rascal seemed to have made a new friend that resulted in him nearly pissing himself!

Summit Rock is a few hundred feet overshadowing Summit Lake. We would make our journey around the lake as we journeyed to the rock. From afar it does not look like much of anything till you approach it realizing that three hundred year old trees grow from its crevices and that their are cliffs nearly on all sides so we would plan our route as we made our way towards it.

Finding a way to the top of Summit Rock is a bit tricky especially when the final climb to the top is nearly straight up. We had some problems trying to get Rascal up here it took three of us to work together as one wrong misstep could mean going over a cliff since this rock is larger and higher then a mansion. Its definitely worth the climb allot of fun and the rewards would allow us a panoramic view of the Mt. Raymond region.

Our grand finale to expedition two in the Mt. Raymond region is this great video showing the entire region. This includes some of the lakes which surrounds Summit Rock, Mt. Raymond, view of the Eldorado forest and Mokelumne Wilderness. By viewing this video you can sort of put the regions size into perspective with 360 degree views of the valley floor below. We will return for an expedition three as within these trees below are many hidden jewels!
