Subj: [ParanormalSinCity] My Exploration Of The Chinese Date Ranch & Tecopa California

Old Tecopa Investigation 2

We parked in the same area as the first visit to this site. I was excited to see this place during the day. I parked the car in front of a fire pit the same one we built a fire back in Nov. 2009. I felt allot less pressure here then I did last time perhaps because the group of people I was with were scolding me....giving me time limits....didn't want to hike....and were bragging about their powers to find the unseen. UMMM YEAH! lol

The area I parked was near an RV an old guy waved to me as I pulled up to the ghost towns sight. He is the caretaker and he said hi to me about a million times. His dog chased Tammy as we walked down the main road that was a part of Tecopa.

The condition of Tecopa was much worst then Noonday. The foundations had cactuses and plants growing from them. There was a series of pipe lines leading to each foundation. I seen one mine in a small valley the same valley I hiked in at night where I said it looked like a forest in the middle of the desert.

I noticed on one of the hills a mine it was very small not worth checking into....while under one of the roads I seen a tunnel with a cobble stone frame around it. I pointed out to Tammy the lush canyon I hiked in at night which led me to a strip mine. That strip mine had gold and silver scattered throughout the canyon.

We did not hike around the town much just wanted to bring our fans a second investigation which would entail photos of some of the original town itself. New Tecopa today is just a matter of miles away and is known for their hot springs. But old Tecopa was the site where settlers had to survive off the land by mining....working for the Noonday's Anaconda Mill.....etc

Off in the distance I seen where the old railroad bed was the same bed we seen up at the China Date Farm. Everything in this area is connected with dirt roads....mountain passes....or the T&H railroad beds.

I spent a good hour searching for the Old Tecopa Cemetery sadly I never found it. The small stones and crosses are said to exist in the open desert between the town of Noonday and Tecopa.....with a mile in between. I spent a long time standing on hills and everytime I thought what I found looked like a burial ground...it turned out to be just an area scattered with debris. Debris like pipes.....rocks.....piles of wood....tin rusted cans.

Old Tecopa was nestled against some small hills....and small valleys on each side of the road. In a sense its a more shady area which explains why their is so much foliage growing here. I thought when I first visited here months ago it was strange to find trees....bushes and flowers in the middle of the desert but this was the reason why.

We actually parked in old Tecopa and hiked to the Anaconda Mill. I wanted to show Tammy where we parked....and where I hiked at by myself. Do you know what the difference was during this excursion? It was that I had daylight to work with.

Last time I was out here we went up the main road in Old Tecopa and just imagine the town was sitting just a few feet from the road. We never seen the town site though it was dark out there....I had no investigators helping me.....and again the crew I had brought out only wanted to eat get fat around the fire. I know that sounds mean its just that I have come to realize I can achieve so much more on my own then when relying on other explorers and people to help out. It sort of was a set back my first trip here. So as promised to our fans I made the extra trip here to give you guys a daytime perspective of Old Tecopa and your going love it.

Can I say I sensed paranormal in Old Tecopa.....not really it is what it is a bunch of scattered remains. The old guy and his wife seemed like friendly people and if I had sometime I would have talked to him asking him about anything strange going on within the town site at night. He was their in Nov camping and he is still there as of April.

After we finished up Old Tecopa....Tammy and I took this dirt road that cut through the town of Noonday. Keep in mind their are three to four dirt roads in the ghost town each leading to a different mountain and mine.
