It sure was great to be revisiting El Dorado Canyon after a long few months. It still is one of my favorite places to visit just outside the Las Vegas area. Everytime I visit here something new and exciting happens. We left a little earlier due to Easter plus the fact that we wanted to revisit a location that may have had other entrances.

Speaking of Easter weekend mine was just that wild Friday I did 8 hours of live radio on the air, then we had to pull this trip off, and of course Easter also lol. Ill tell you over the years I have had some strange Easter investigations. Like a few years ago I did a haunted hotel where doors were closing by themselves.

We spent most of the night offroading which was fine because I never been back in this region of El Dorado canyon. If possible we will try to visit one more time prior to me leaving the area. Their are just so many areas to hike around at and you never know what you might find.

I love making new discoveries here that we can add to our site it really gives you a broad perspective of the region in how many things there are to explore.

Our night would be lone and Karrie stopped at the store so we could pick up food/drinks. I figured that it helps to drink and eat considering the amount of hiking we do. I wouldn't say the investigation was as eerie as previous trips up here but we were more thorough in exploring the canyon. I am sure at night we missed allot of mines as opposed to going during the day but that is okay because its just nice to hike around here.

This may be my last trip but again ill try to make one last one the final one ill make will be a day trip so we can get some day photos and things. As always I try to visit with one of our members who resides in the canyon by the ghost town and mines.

Debby it was great seeing you I wish it was more often and I didn't get to see Boot he had broken his ankle recently. Otherwise I am sure he would have taken us for some serious offroading:) boot I even brought you a beer but didn't see you so maybe next time.

When I arrived at Deb's I met her daughter she tokes so we went out by the fire and smoked one. Deb please for me tell them once again thank you. I didn't want to sound rude just smoking and having to leave but we had allot on our plate. So thank them all again from me and next time I am out there ill smoke them out with some train wreck from Cali:) good stuff!

Anyhow after sitting near the fire we decided to hit our first key location which would be a place I call Skull Mine.

Skull Mine Investigation 2

We went past it then turned around and parked. I was telling Karrie to not get to close to the cliffs. I know she hates driving down these narrow curvy roads. I can generally hit roads like this at 80mph but again look at the years of off roading and all I have done. So its probably better Karrie took her time El Dorado has allot of treacherous roads if you do not pay close attention you could go right off a cliff.

Karrie and I suited up with our gear her flashlight she has is brighter then mine we both brought head lamps for this trip. We hiked through the brush I know snakes are out so I was very cautious walking. We climbed up the hill to the mine entrance.

This time a different bible was placed in front and right up on the iron bars. My mission was to find another entrance in this location unfortunately I still could not. Despite my photos show two other entrances when we hiked above the main entrance we could not find them.

I filmed with my night vision camera, took photos, and I told Karrie we would focus on EVP here mainly. I spent allot more time here happened to put my face into the bars pressing it firmly trying to listen. I heard movement in that mine something was in there but this is the thing you cannot get in it let alone out of it.

I just find it odd their is only one way in so we climbed up the left side according to the photos I have their is an entrance above the main one which looks like a skull two eyes and a mouth. Well we started to climb rocks and the steep grade. The moon was yellowish almost full arising from one of the mountains in the canyon I was so excited.

Karrie seen her truck and she was like we are very high up lol. I love being here because it only takes a few minutes to climb these mountains well some of them and the views are breathtaking. At night its black out here but every star is out. I looked up and I seen a major meteorite burning up just over my head over a ridge.

Karrie and I did not find the entrance. At times I would let her stay put while I went exploring certain rocks and steep edges. I felt Karrie did very well considering she was sick all week she still climbed with me and we really tried hard to work with this area. I found a few artifacts I do not touch them just photograph my finds.

We were very high up standing high over the main entrance and I had us cut over to see if the other eye was an entrance. Strangely my photo shows these entrances but apparently they are just shadows caused by the rocks surrounding the main entrance.

We worked our way back down a few cars passed by on the main road we kept our lights down. Although this area is allot safer to be then years ago. I knew if anything happened at least Deb or someone knew where we were at its hardcore wilderness around here so you do have to be cautious even hiking.

We arrived back at the main entrance then I had Karrie do EVP while I went for a very long hike in search of any other entrances. I followed this ridge for a few hundred feet found a few holes in rocks but after I did not find anything and came to a dead end. I hike back down into the desert and came right up behind Karrie.

Karrie and I had assessed that the entrance looked like they been blasted shut. I am telling you viewers first hand I feel something in that mine. I do not know why its barred off....I do not understand why there are no other entrances or rather why they sealed them. The wind that comes out of this mine is hotter then normal and it just is very very spooky when you look down the tunnel.

Karrie and I set off to leave we would be heading right into the canyon for some off roading. I really cannot add this as an investigation but ill tell you what happened.

We went down the road all the way which one way leads to the dry lake beds while the other way goes down to the lake/river where you can drive right into the canyon.

Karrie and I came to a split we took the left path. There were allot of people camping with fires. I was a little worried I just didn't want trouble. I go to locations because I enjoy the hiking and ghost. But anyhow we came to a dead end road which had a small inlet with water. A group of people were partying at a trailer and they were like keep going so now we felt uncomfortable and were like ummmm no lets just go lol.

We went back to the split in the road and followed this rugged dirt road which was very tight for many miles because it actually was on the back side of El Dorado. Karrie did just fine she has a truck so there was no problems now a car well with a car you would have to keep going non stop and hope you don't get stuck in a hole lol. I use to drive roads like that in my Subaru i felt safe in the truck because I know that as long as you have one your pretty safe in this region.

I know Karrie was worried a bit this is new to her but over the years I have done this so many times and so I was hoping we would see maybe a UFO...ghost crossing the road etc lets face it the road we were on turned rugged so I knew nobody had been on it in awhile.

Strangely I was happy we took this road I am sure we missed allot of mines up on the hill sides at night but you have to admit off roading in the middle of nowhere is fun. I kept my eyes open for strange things we seen a few rabbits perfect for Easter lol.

Karrie and I eventually came to civilization with lights from Nelson residents and I knew we were safe at this point. We found blocking one of the trails a giant water tank or something its hard to say but it was a giant cylinder.

I checked it out first alone and noticed the path behind the cylinder went way off between two mountains. I had Karrie park and we hiked on in the old fashioned way into the unknown. I give to you the El Dorado Canyon Boathouse.

Perhaps a month in the desert who knows its still a pretty good anomaly shot!

An evident face near the mines entrance!
