Pine Grove was a small mining town of about 300 residents. It boasted a hotel, boarding house, saloons, mines and various residents. The town site resides deep in the Toiyabe National Forest in NV. It is in a very deep canyon at an elevation of 8 to 9 thousand feet. Not much remains of the town but a few foundations, ruins and wood structures. For miles there is nothing surrounding the town but pines, sage brush and mountains.
Many of the roads are well plotted throughout the town site. Some of them however contain open areas where structures once stood. It would seem near one of these open areas we had captured some rather high EMF activity. Kyle gives us an overview about this occurrence.

The old school house resides next to the stamp mill that once crushed the ore that came out of the Wheeler and Wilson mines. The school house is merely a wood shell but at one time its students spent there days being educated as the nearby miners brought wealth to this region.
The mill site today is one of the ghost towns greatest gifts as it stands up along the cliffs near the mines that produced millions of dollars in gold and silver. Not much remains in the town but the ore crushing stamps are a prestigious site that is a symbol of mining history.

Some of our highest EMF readings came from the mill site and the entrance to the mines nearby. We have to assume this would seem about accurate considering that a majority of the town spent there years working daily at these sites and may have even died here.
The boarding house seemed to be a place of allot of energy. We also find on the first floor a very large vertebrae perhaps brought here by coyotes. We spent a good deal of time collecting EVPs at this site as its the largest structure remaining in Pine Grove. During our time here we also heard other strange unexplainable noises.

We spent time doing an EVP session and continued to take EMF readings. The boarding house was also a hotel. It was a unique site to a degree that the readings were so high for such long periods that it broke. I have tried to fix it but the needle continues to stick as they were above as high as they can possibly go. We heard also some drums or machinery near this site as we sat quietly still in the dark.
This old wood garage resides next to the boarding house or rather behind it. There is a barrel for trash inside then a bunch of graffiti as well as engravings found throughout it of peoples names who been here. Its not an exciting site the EMF was not working I tried fixing it and we were getting ready for the offroad portion of this investigation.

The roads throughout Pine Grove are extremely steep some of them drop off along cliffs while others have large rocks from mining. One of the roads we had driven on nearly went straight down and was so narrow that you couldn't even turn around. If one were to get stuck on one of these roads it could turn into a bad situation. Here is a sample of one of the residential and mining roads surrounding Pine Grove.
We never did find the old cemetery however this fenced in area turned out to be an old corral. Sadly its in deplorable shape however it is a sign that at one time there was life within this small town.

Check out the road home this is all you can see for miles as the sun is coming up. This is high desert and mountains for miles. Not only is this secluded but its rather bumpy for many miles. I gave the team a brief interview about Pine Grove while I was riding out of dodge listen to what they had to say and our final thoughts!
