Kay Manor

If the hill does not get you the ghost will perhaps but I was looking forward to doing this place. Each and every year I try to do a super haunted location right around the time of Halloween. This place would live up to its name. Sometimes we can visit a dozen places and get not a single thing then their are times their is one place that stands out from all the rest and so this would be it.  If you visit our prologue page be sure to read about this location a bit more in depth.

Tammy and I climbed the mountain on up a couple hundred feet as we ascended into the darkness hearing behind us these strange cries. The hill/mountain was very steep but within this darkness as I approached closer you could see the manors stone walls and wood frame.
 
Tammy had some issues with the steepness of this incline as allot of the rocks were loose and she put her hand next to a spider that was very large and had black n white Zebra stripes. I had warned her about it guess she didn't hear me and well lets put it this way I never seen her jump so fast when she looked down right near were her hand was I was laughing so hard hell maybe its a new undiscovered species right? It may have been a younger tarantula still developing nonetheless I would not want to get bit by it as I am sure that is what she was thinking at the same time.
 
The place was looking rather eerie just from being below it. When I climbed to the top I stood underneath the house as part of the deck which went around the entire home was held up with wood beams.

Tammy and I would eventually climb up onto to the deck and walk around the house. On the deck were old chairs, a hospital bed all deteriorating, washer, chest and even a 3 wheeler kids bike. Across the porch was a guest house it didn't look as eerie as the house we were about to enter.

The wind started to intensify here and it was getting chilly as Tammy bundled up. We walked around the entire deck and noticed that the drapes were moving inside the house with no explanation as the windows were all sealed shut.

When I entered the front door their were knives sitting all over the kitchen counter.....bottles of booze.....a old kids booster chair....a wheel chair from the 1960's.....and this coat laid across one of the kitchen seats. The place was straight up eerie like I just walked up on a ghost dinner of some kind. The dust inside was heavy so was the air here.

All the lamps were antiques including the chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Their was newspapers stacked on a chair and even a crocheted blanked on the table bunched up. Their were ashtrays all over the place and an old wood cabinet full of dust. On top of the cabinet was a black and white photo of a baby just laying amongst the dust covered surface.

The living room area had a couple televisions stacked on one another and their was books all over the place. We also checked out the fireplace when Tammy said I seen a rat. We noticed seeing a rat trap or two here.....and allot of DCon all over the place. Moments later this cut pudgy mouse was playing peekaboo with us running to each side of the fire place all excited to see us. I actually got a really good closeup of him and well I am not one for rodents but this little guy would have made a nice pet for the kids.

In the living room was also a giant stuffed elephant and turtle some real old school stuff for kids to lounge around on. We found a third old television set and a table with a bunch of seashell knick-knacks they were gorgeous and someone put allot of time into the craftsmanship of them. Near that was also some old bottles the labels were sort of torn off but you could tell these bottles are no longer made today.

On an old speaker or something that may have produced sound maybe a radio was a shrine dedicated to a naval officer. I started to piece the puzzle together. Want to hear my thoughts? A husband and wife ran a business's living on top of a hill. The husband passed away leaving the lonely wife to her crafts. They both had grand kids. The wife probably was in a wheelchair as I found a photo from the 1940's of a little girl. She became to ill to care-take this manor she passed away as prior to her death the manor became overran with rats. She may have died of heartache and loneliness. I felt the couple in the house with us and no I did not touch anything. I am just the one to share their story to make sure that the millions who view our site know the truth.

The strangeness would not end there as in the corner of the room was an area that was much like a small library with old dusty encyclopedias. Their was some strange books some a century almost old one based on immortality another one called the secret lion which looked like it had some UFO photo on the book. This person or persons as Tammy stated were extremely eccentric and into the unknown. You see everything and everybody is connected this house I did not find this house found us.

We then decided it was time to enter the hallway which would had to sealed doors. I could see Tammy's look on her face as she thought the same thing I did. In the hall one of the light switches was on this bothered me allot since the place has not had any power going to it in years yet the power was on in the hallway.

What lays beyond this door where would it take us what would we see. I slowly opened the door only to find an icy cold room that is when we seen in the middle of the room a king sized bed....and next to it a stack of antique suitcases stacked on a chair.

Their was a dresser with a dusty mirror inside and part of the ceiling was missing as Tammy stated. I never seen anything like it but a 8 foot section of the ceiling, roof etc was missing as if someone climbed up their and tore it off. This explained the blowing drapes that we seen from the outside and this room got an A plus for creepiness.

On the night stand was an old Zenith alarm clock with a set of keys. Their was also a large closet which contained clothes from the 60's and the 70's such as a long skirt with flowers on it and a blue overcoat. Their was also an old chest filled with blankets in the room as well and even a ailment medical chart for everything from measles to the mumps.

Tammy and I went into the bathroom here and their was not much room so I waited in the hallway watching the hall door close on its own slowly then slam hard. I theorized this as wind. At this point that is all I could hear is the howling of the wind and it was getting worst. The wind sounded like it was talking to us and then I noticed something even more odd.

The door that slammed shut did not close all the way as it was a pretty difficult door to shut. Seconds later its like something pulled tightly on the door and pulled it completely shut. I thought I seen the door knob turn it was pretty spooky at that point I knew we were not alone here.

The bathroom was filled with rat feces in the sink and their was still towels almost as if they were brand new hanging up above the bathtub. Their was even some old prescription bottle of medicine not like the ones we get today but a clear bottle for pills.

We then wrapped up the investigation here and I entered into the kitchen only to notice the front door was wide open. Either something entered the house with us or left but I knew this was the sign I had asked for when I entered the bedroom. Now keep in mind I had shut the front door and secured it earlier in the investigation because I wanted to keep things as is and us as safe as possible. I think out of all the spooky things nothing is more spooky then closing a door and coming back to find it wide open. As I stared at the door in shock a rat ran past me with a long tail the entire house was just infested.

I quickly grabbed the camera and made a last minute video for youtube of the entire manor inside its pretty good stuff. Ill be sharing that in a couple months or prior to Halloween for our viewers its really at my discretion but it is what we live for.

I grabbed a few photos then we would head on over to the guest house outside. Tammy noticed the emblem of a dark knight on a horse on the garage. I know their is more to this place then what we may ever know. The property was also littered with old wagon wheels, an incinerator, gas lamps and even a giant copper lion as if it was guarding something. Their was also some old mining equipment on the site nothing to uncommon you see it all over the desert but more then likely this individual was involved in mining who ever owned the property.

The guest house would be the final part to this investigation. We entered into the garage where we would find a string of bullets only made around WWII. Inside the garage were shelves of old tools most rusted and outside of it we found one of those old movie viewers and even some stored film reels.

Outside of the garage entrance was another entrance in the lower floor that led to a narrow hallway with a set of small drawers. Some were left open containing screws and nails. Their was a sander inside and some other pieces of machinery. The person who lived here probably did allot of their own carpentry and auto work.
We then proceeded to head on upstairs the living quarters to the guest house. Inside the living room was a box of old Xmas ornaments. Their was also an old wooden wheelchair and a kitchen table with pots n pans on it. The upstairs couch had a stack of crocheted blankets folded on it while the bathroom head a dead rat inside the tub.

Their was the old sinks...stove....shiny white cupboards and a washer in the kitchen area. Their was not much else to see but a shag carpet so we decided to head outside to check out more.

Next to the guest house we found a stockpile of things such as old barstools....a stove made in St. Louis made out of pure iron and even some crates of jars. Their was also a few boxes of sea shells and rocks. The person who lived here seemed to like to collect things you see it all the time when it comes to older properties. Their was also an old rusted meat grinder here something I never seen in person before pretty cool.

I went down the hill and I found what may have been an old Studebaker car perhaps the same one I seen in the old black and white photo I found inside the house an hour earlier. Next to this car was an old trailer I felt like something was watching me from their just got this overwhelming feeling.

At this point the sun was finally coming up over the mountains and I could see the lake miles off in the distance. We also see way below in the canyon a car that pulled on off then sat there. More then likely someone was also enjoying the sunrise maybe with their significant other.

Their was a huge burden of relief as the sun slowly illuminating everything around us. On the hill was a giant antenna....their was also a water tower....and not to far from the entrance out of here was a grave site. It was just a pile of white rocks on the hill side. Other strange finds would be emblems, afterlife books and even a rusty roller skate sitting out in the driveway.

I also found an old bomb shell not sure if it was still active but it weighed about 20 lbs and I picked it up scaring Tammy holding it in one hand above my head. This was not fake but the real deal and their was no way I was carrying it with me off the mountain to be disposed off but again one drop and well the whole top of the mountain may have gone boom lol.

We sat on the porch of the manor and had a couple beers as the sun came up what a view. Nothing but miles of seclusion and mountains around us from every angle. I climbed down off the deck to get a few more photos banged up my ankle on this rock it hurt so bad but kept pushing on. Under the house I found a door which was a small cellar with a water tank in it all made out of stone.

I wanted to make sure that I did not miss anything and so for our viewers I did a bit of day filming here so you can see what the location looks like during the morning hours. I have to say at night with the wind howling.....and doors slamming....drapes blowing etc this place is very eerie.

I also seen in the hand poured concrete engraved with a name and date. It is possible that this may have been a memorial for someone who died hence the grave we found just a hundred feet away or maybe some child decided it would be fun to take there finger writing their name into the drying cement. I am almost sure that this house is older then 1969 based on our finds so what I believe is as time passed new additions were added to the manor including this walkway which probably was poured with the same very machine we found when leaving this location.

We already been here a couple hours it was time to go and so we left down a gated road where we seen an old cement machine and on the hill side spotted a giant pentagram/pentacle designed out of wood boards. It was perfect no flaws and right away Tammy was like that is creepy. I did not expect to find anything like this here but it was very large and someone went through the trouble to design it. Perhaps witches lived up on this hill or perhaps the squatters who stayed here were not squatters at all but those into the occult.

I felt we had a wonderful investigation here as we hiked back to the car. We were thorough if anything and their was allot of strange finds including some good activity. The activity really increased after I asked the entities to give me a sign they were here sincerely so whatever is here is a living conscious being of some kind.

Strangely since I been to the manor I will admit something has followed me home. The morning of getting home I woke up only later in the evening to find one of my cats looking up in the corner of the bedroom staring at something. The dishes in the night clank.....their is strange thud sounds around the house.....the nightlight was turned off at 3am......and both my cats keep staring at something. Not to mention that as I type this report I will walk away with it open on my desktop only to find my computer has been turned off. I am not sure if its something making itself cozy right at home with us or if the haunting's will become a nuisance so ill be keeping a close eye out on things the next few days to see what occurs from all of this. I will do what needs to be done if the activity does not lessen and it knows this that is probably why it isn't bothering me as much as it has been Tammy.

I do not think that the activity we re experiencing is the ghost of Kay manor but perhaps it is of something else. I felt that some other strange things occurred here on this hill not sure what maybe cult activity etc but I did notice that a window was broke so someone at one time had broken in this place and perhaps ransacked all its values. I did find an old newspaper from the 1800's here maybe a fake but we also found a newspaper from 1989 so whatever happened here happened a long time ago. We may have been the first individuals to explore this place in 20 years and so Kay Manor will and may always remain a mystery to us.

At one time this may have been a place of laughter as the fireplace burned brightly but at the same time it is now a place of the dearly departed. All the strange signs...symbols....and finds we both knew we never found this place but this place found us.

We had plans after this to go hiking but we were both very tired so we decided to revisit a mine we been to awhile back ago. So we loaded up the gear....drinks and food heading out to some old mines in Shoshone country for an exploration. I would like to elaborate more on being a paranormal investigator and having certain energies follow you home. It only took me  a few hours to realze we were not alone and active hauntings occurred regularly at my home thereafter.
