This is the first mine we found on our investigation near GoodSprings talk about eerie! We would go in such mines during our second trip up here. Many of the mines are like this in the area filled in with gravel with small holes where you climb into which reveal more tunnels or in some cases dead ends full of rat nest. Moments after this find the truck got stuck in a hole. I was not on the scene but hiking in the canyon making notations of where the various mines are.

Walk with me as we came back the next morning to dig out the truck and during that time I do a brief walking tour which reveals mines, foundations and other key interest points. We are in a canyon one later on that would prove to be very paranormal worthy full of strange mist, lights, shadows, screams and oddities.

After digging, pushing, pulling, inserting wood under the wheels and finally a tow chain the truck becomes free. We still had the flat tire issue we had to deal with and we were about 8 miles from the nearest gas station but the fix a flat did hold. Imagine being stuck up here at night.....so many secrets are hidden in this little canyon during the day its so peaceful but when the sun goes behind the mountains this place changes.
