      Desert
      Hill Cemetery

I was excited cause this was our first cemetery in Nevada. If time
permitted I had quite a few other cemeteries I wanted to visit but this
was on the way so it was a nice little stop.

We entered the wrought iron gates and the cemetery did sit up on a hill
next to this mountain which we were able to see. The cemetery was
unusually cold in certain areas and it surprised me to see so many wooden
      tombstones.

Wood tombstones were used back in the 1800's in place of stone ones cause
it was cheaper and easier to work with. Almost everybody who was buried
here was buried above ground with just a small mound of gravel or stones
      surrounding them.

The little mounds gave the entire cemetery a real eerie feeling. Christi
and I did not experience much activity here but unlike most cemeteries we
go to in Florida there was not an ounce of vandalism here.

I mainly focused on the oldest section but it was not a big cemetery the
wood epitaphs made it an interesting little ghost walk. The wind was
hollowing very strange here and tumble weeds were just blowing all over
the place so I could not get any EVP here sad to say like I wanted.

It was an interesting little place with the possibility of something
strange happening. We then headed on off to our biggest and best
investigation of my journey out here which was the ghost town of Rhyolite.
