Three times a year the family members of the Christmas Cemetery's deceased get together for special events and to honor the dead. There is a chapel on site which was donated in 1965 by George H. Hodges who is a grandson of one of the original settlers to the area. They also donated two paintings.

In 1996 four smooth polished granite monuments were unveiled on memorial day sitting on top of bricks. They were put here to honor all the Christmas residents who were military veterans which had 78 names and one of them being from the Spanish-American War. There is also a second Seminole War Veteran and two confederate veterans from the civil war.

Many of the settlers buried here live near the grounds of Fort Christmas near where an old pioneer village once sat and still today is very well preserved. These families lived off the land by hunting, fishing, and exchanging goods with other local communities. Upon taking a tour in the cracker village one could find some of those early pioneers to be found in Fort Christmas Cemetery.

Also I would like to add a little something and I am going public with this information. Back in the beginning of December of 2005 I was pulled over not to far from Christmas on a dirt Road by 6 Chuluota sheriffs in Department District #4. My son who is a junior investigator was also in the car with me. 

I pulled over cause the roads were dark and I was lost so I had to re-look at my directions then a few seconds later 3 separate vehicles surrounded me all at the same time. They starting going threw my wallet found and old NY license told me it was suspended over 2 years ago. The problem was is that it was turned in a long time ago and the NY license was a duplicate that they had sent to me so I used that as a second Identification in case of an emergency while on the road.

I explained this to the sheriffs and they brutally cuffed me and through me in the back of the car with no seat room. I sat in the SUV with a sheriff that could not be older then 19 I swear it that's right the state of Florida employs teenagers in law enforcement now.  I had to lay down with my arms behind my back and the cuffs cutting into my wrist. They sat outside talked for over an hour pointing at me in the SUV, eating Ho Hos and interrogating my son. They asked him horrible questions like if he is kidnapped, being molested etc my son refused to talk to them.

Then they took my cell phone called numerous people on there asking personal questions, emptied out my entire trunk, glove box, vehicle and all my paranormal equipment in all my back packs. My medication they dumped all over, my inhaler for asthma, and they left half eaten ho hos all over the back seat.

They did a total illegal search and seizure to their surprise they did not find anything illegal. Afterwards they sent a social work to the house banging on my door at midnight hoping to find my other children not babysat but what they did not know is that Ariel and Christi both live with me and take turns babysitting.

Afterwards they released me out of the car took my valid Florida license, took my invalid NY Id which is more then 2 years old and gave me a half hour lecture about how my son is stupid and how he should not be involved with paranormal investigating. Then they took us over 5 miles away if not more down this dark country road and left my son and I at a gas station telling us to use a payphone and call for a ride since I was not allowed to drive my valid vehicle. 

James and I hiked for many miles along a dark wooded road. The temperature was about 40 degrees, there were wild coyotes all over and I did not have my sword if I had to fend them off. Since they did not tell me where the car was located I ended up hiking 3 miles past the car so we had to hike all the way back napping in the cold woods. We made it eventually back to the car and headed for home.

After I got home I had gotten summoned to court at least four times over one little ticket. The first time I went to court they tried to get me to claim guilty the judge was not in. I tried to discuss the matter the judge told me save it for your trial. I went back again and judge Carmine was in. I told him I want to represent myself and he told me pretty much that I am not intelligent enough to do so. He told me if I do not have degree in law like his state attorneys I have no chance. Then he said If I do not own a palm pilot etc etc that It was my party and I would lose. The third time I spent all day at court it was a circus over 8 hours sitting in a chair. The judge was being very rude to everybody making fun of a senile old lady, putting some down, and well when he says he is taking a 15 minute recess he disappears for almost 2 hours which to me is so unprofessional. Well I presented him evidence that my NY license was valid and my Florida ID he pretty much threw it down and said find me more evidence and Ill give you a small traffic citation. So I come to court a fourth time present him with two valid licenses and he started to go back on his word. Once again he would not let me speak to the courts and waived my freedom of speech right. The state attorney kept trying to get a criminal charge against me and it turned out that the sheriffs illegally took my Ids never turning them in to the courts. Lucky for me I paid extra money and ordered licensees from NY and Florida. Well now I am stuck with a fine yet the whole entire case was fixed and illegal. The sheriffs department of Seminole county has been reported to a federal bureau and is under investigation whether something gets done its hard to say. In truth let me say the United States is becoming a police state every citizen is now considered a terrorist every citizen will be stripped of the rights but damn them to hell if they think I will not fight for what I believe in. Rumor has it that the Seminole County sheriffs are not anything but a redneck with a gun!

Let this be a warning for anybody who drives in Seminole County cause I know there are other paranormal adventurers like me out there. Be very careful I been doing alot of research and hearing about alot of abuse cases in Seminole County. I have heard of cases where some of the sheriffs pull women over on dark country roads and get fresh with them perhaps even sexually assaulting them. If you are driving down a dark road by law and they are behind you  maintain a steady speed till you come to a well lit intersection or gas station. If the officer does anything out of line take the badge number down and report them. These sheriffs are not above you or the law but with complaints it will send them to the unemployment line. Also if your license is valid and they take it go to the Florida DMV website order a new one on the internet and it will come to  you in a few days. With these tips it will help fight corruption.  

Although I know this is sort of off topic of the historical references to Christmas Cemetery I felt it was necessary to make the public aware of this. It devastated my son for quite sometime as he spent the whole time crying when they also put him into custody. The one way I can make a mark into history is by making the public aware with our 1000s of hits per month that we get. But I also felt it was necessary to make an apology to my fans because of the incident I had to cancel our St. Augustine Christmas Investigation and other numerous ones. Now that I am back on my feet we are rearing to get back on track but because of this incident it delayed our town of Christmas investigations a month behind and so our journey continues into the unknown!
