Blake Park

There actually was two sections to the park which was the East and then the West. The park of course has deeper symbolism and history then what the locals are aware of but we started off at first in the eastern section.

We parked on the grass and right away the first thing that stood out was the dozens of old Oaks, Pines and Willows growing within the park. Some of them trees were so old they had giant knots growing on the sides.

James and I walked on over to a some fenced in structure it said danger electrical hazard. The structure looked very very old like at one time it served some other purpose. We walked in a very dark area full of many old trees James mentioned on his own feeling a lot of energy here I felt it to. Trees tend to take on lives of their own after so long being a part of history.

We did walk on over to another building which was the shuffle club house and there was a court. At first I thought it was a pool but it was what it was. Behind the building our second time around I discovered embedded deep in the grass stone foundations which went for quite a ways so either the shuffle board club house was built near it or on top.

The stone foundations outlined a rectangular structure perhaps it was the old Lake Helen train station or the club house that use to reside within the park 80 years ago.

We walked through some woods to a play ground there was the youth club so it was really hard for me to focus lots of women playing tennis too lol. But it just seemed like everybody was out bike riding, jogging, playing tennis, making out at the playground I really did not want to feel like a peeping tom taking photos not that it matters but still it lessened ghost activity big time.

We walked around the park again and this time got a quick high EMF reading by some old trees that was the highlight of our night perhaps. Then we tried to see if we could find out where the train tracks were laid out before being removed.

By this time everybody almost cleared the park we had photographed the playground and headed on off across the road to the west section of the park.

The west section of the park seemed to be in much more horrible shape. The grass was very hilly and high as if the ground had been ripped up over the years. The area it was in was not to nice either as opposed to across the street where the police station was actually within the park.

James and I did not spend much time here because there wasn't much to photograph but a very large foundation we found and a lot of gravel/stones mixed in with the dirt. After this I realized that this probably was the area the train came through and when they tore it up what remained was the stations foundation and gravel from the rail bed.

We did also find a broken bench and a pile of debris snuggled up around a tree. This section of the park felt more eerie but all that remains is its history and so we ended the investigation in search of the well known and haunted Shoe String Theatre.
