Friday was a very intense adventure as we headed up in Bigfoot Country in search of Americas great ape with a few ghost included:) It was Jason's first investigation since he came back on into town so we wanted to kick off a great little out of town trip.

I apologize for the late report I spent the majority of yesterday out by the lighthouse inlet fishing and caught a shark. So for today we hooked it up and damn it was tasty lol. I almost hooked a right whale by accident too he was about 25 feet out in front of me totally amazing.  Ill probably add a photo of it on our Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Page in a couple days since we did capture a ghost out near where I caught my shark.

Anyhow to get back on track Jason and I visited the Lake George area which is now Florida's third largest lake and surrounded by some of the thickest forest in the state. Its an area full of history, shell middens, and even bigfoot.

We visited 3 places which in my opinion had some good activity at certain points as we visited Astor Park Cemetery, Silver Glen Springs & Lake George, and finally Bluffton Point. It was also a night of a full moon and a very chilly Florida night which is rare for this time of night. We set off fairly late on our drive out to the Ocala Woods and our adventure begins here.

Astor Park Cemetery

We entered the little hick town of Astor a place full of trailers and dirt roads stopping at the gas station for some ice for our cooler. The cemetery was not to far away surrounded by white fencing. When we pulled in on the dirt road I did not see any graves till we looked around.

It appeared on the left side of the cemetery were plaques with newer burials and empty fields while to the right towards the main road was many older graves from the later 1800's. We followed this dark dirt road and there were a few graves scattered only two of them were broke and a few were weathered badly.

I felt a presence along the fence were the tree growth was thick watching us. There was also a cold spot in a few areas. We did not see much here the only trees were really in the old section which made it very dark and hard for us to see.

The cemetery was very draining for me but for the most part it was peaceful. We found inside of the cemetery a giant wrought iron entrance sign so apparently the cemetery use to sit further back at one time till it was expanded.

We then headed back in the old section took some readings eventually heading towards the very back of the cemetery. There was some plant beyond the barb wire not sure if it was sewage or not. But it felt pretty eerie back here and our last stop was the veterans memorial where this was an area I felt quite watched.

I also thought I heard some noise or mumbling as we neared the back of the cemetery perhaps we drew in some curiosity. Jason tried to get me motivated by throwing something near me as a joke he almost had me fooled at one point. But the cemetery was just an icebreaker for a very intense night to come and so it was time for us to head off to Silver Glen Springs & Lake George.
