I want everybody today to take a moment of silence for Robert Carr he was my friend an investigator who passed away a few years ago on this day. Today will be a hard day for me to cope with its not easy losing someone who cares about this group. So today I would like each of you just to take that moment of silence to cherish the value of life. Because its short and we all must live it to the fullest. I also would like each of you to take the time to help put an end to drinking and driving. If you see someone driving weird on the road or drunk at a gas station or leaving a bar drunk call it in save a life. I'm so sorry about your friend Robert .

I appreciate it Paula but I do not expect others to be sorry about it. I have neglected my other big forums cause members just dont care that is all I want is for them to recognize that a member and investigator died for this group. So I do appreciate you caring and being a friend to me. Its never easy losing a friend I dont care how much time has passed it is always almost as if it were yesterday. All we can do is hold onto those memories and learn from our experiences.

I used to be a major drinker, till I sent my car into a phone poll, i havent drank since, and i will never drive like that again either. the cop told me he had done 2 other DWI's that night and didnt want the paperwork of a thrid..WOW i got off, so I vowed never EVER to Drink and drive again,

Plus hitting a phone pole dead center of your toyota echo at 50 with no seatbelt on, and walking away is a life changing experiance


plus im VERY fortunate that night in 2001 it was just me and the pole, unlike poor robert, I could never live with myself if I took another life like that

I agree it can be a life changing experience. The lady that Hit Rob was drinking and taking anti depressants. She hit him and kept on going they felt sorry for her making up excuses but there is no excuse..she drank hit him kept going without even braking. I never drink and drive its okay to have 2 beers drive home but somebody who gets hammered and cannot even stand should not be driving a vehicle cause chances are they are going to hit something or somebody.
