White Haven Cemetery is one of those urban legend cemeteries you want to visit when you hear all the stories that come out of it to see if there is some truth to them. I personally did not like the feelings I had when in this cemetery. It was established in 1865 and is still active with burials since we did see a freshly dug grave. A lot of people have reported seeing glowing stones, a little girl ghost, a lady who died from AIDS holding her infant son and another ghost who died in the Gulf War looking for his pregnant wife. How true these reports are I do not know. I think the woods are more haunted then the cemetery as many creepy looking trees surround the cemetery. You definitely feel watched here and there are areas that are very cold briefly. Maybe the reason for this place being haunted is because of the incident that took place at the Holiday inn. But we must also remember that the war of 1812 and the French & Indian War took place as well around here. So the area has a history no telling what occurred here over a century or two ago. I myself also notice a small creek that runs along the cemetery so I can imagine at times the fog could get quite thick here. The cemetery has a variety of different activity though footsteps, cold spots, being followed many minor things. As far as the glowing stones go that's a urban legend off in the distance is a street light and what it does is reflect between the 2 tree branches which causes the stone to look constantly illuminated. So we solved that mystery. Also there is no indication of a little girls stone buried here most of the burials are are middle aged folks.

Update:

A fan messaged us name Tim who told me that the site of the cemetery was an Erie's Indian Village Possibly which was on both sides of Spicer Creek. He also said there is archaeological evidence to prove this fact found near the cemetery. Back in 1651 The Seneca's lured the warriors away from the Indian village then came in massacring all the elderly, women and children. Other Indian villages not to far away were wiped out in the same manor so there has to be a connection.

The site of the cemetery was also a lumber camp and he believes the ghost named Tanya who haunts the Day's Inn nearby is actually one of those Indian girls who was murdered by the Seneca's since there is no record of a house fire in the area. Thanks Tim for your submission and hard work.
