Utica Lunatic Asylum

This place is definitely foreboding at night it does not even look the same as trees surround it in a darkness. But we entered the area and right away I heard some movement towards one of the corners of where the 2 wings meet outside but as I turned to look it stopped. We started off in the basement area Marks first shot was a thick mass of ectoplasm. Their was no doubt that we were not alone it felt almost like we were surrounded as soon as we entered their. The basement somewhat was like a maze although no matter where we went it was a dead end only to eventually find stairs to the first floor or patient halls.

I was so disappointed to see how poor the inside of this place was it was worst then the Buffalo Asylum. The paint on the walls was so crispy I was cut rubbing against it. The floors were so week that my foot started to go through a floor so at this point our objective was to take a few photos get a couple ectoplasm shots and make haste and get out of their. We were walking up the stairs when I heard walking on the floor above it was heavy and then followed by a mans voice. I probably should have called this place the asylum of voices because we heard voices quite often.

On the first floor when we arrived right away towards a collapsed area was a noise something was startled as you could hear it jet out of there like a bang then followed by another one almost like something was bumping into the rubble. Mark did some filming and captured some of the most compelling orb evidence on camera. One orb is the size of a basketball and it was moving like a squiggly with a white motion trail then it disappeared the other one was a small orb bouncing all over very amazing footage. Room after room I caught noises this place turned out to be very loud with activity as it flourished wherever we went. We only made out way around the 1st patient wing and a few administration rooms the twisting staircase was pretty interesting then we decided to work our way out of their.

Some of the holes in the floor were 20 feet down so definitely we were pretty intimidated as the old wooded floors and doors creaked. We took a few basement passages and there was some lights on in the basement so I took a photo and caught some nice ectoplasm as something came out of the room very swiftly as I could feel it go past Mark and I. I did not like this area of the basement their was a long hall which led to another wing but I felt watched so we eventually decided it was time to head on out after taking a good amount of photos. We eventually headed back outside as most of the asylum has hazardous chemical areas breathing the area to long here would be unsafe.

We had fun here the only regret I have is I wish I was able to find the cafeteria, library, chapel and workshop here but we were just happy that we were able to spend a little time walking down its dark halls. Perhaps if we had more time in our opinion this would be probably one of the most haunted places in this country as in an hour we got orbs on video, ectoplasm, and heard voices as well as walking. Mark got caught up on a fence on our way out and his pants ripped all the way down hahaha i thought the baring of his ass on the asylum property really took the cake that night I fell down laughing so hard oh what a way to finish investigating such a big place. I wish we had more time here or we would have investigated some of the old gothic buildings on the site but our next place we had lined up next was the very haunted St. Agnes Cemetery.

Some more photos from this investigation coming in the future. We were not able to take to many inside due to the high chemical exposure in the air and collasping floors but we have another roll we will release from this place in about a month or 2!!
