Suber Memorial Gardens Cemetery is a private
burial ground that was for the black citizens around Volusia county. Day
or Night this place has an eerie feeling perhaps because it sits behind a
lake on a dirt road with absolutely not a single house nearby. So this
private cemetery is quite secluded. I learned about this place
through my buddy Robby as he took me there one afternoon to show me this
place and thought it might interest me and indeed it did.
Based on walking around it is apparent that most burials here are various soldiers from the WWI & WWII. At the top of a hill in the cemetery is a giant tree it gives you Goosebumps just standing near it. You can just feel that your being watched. There are some interesting stones mainly above ground burials. There is one stone that is in such poor shape grass is growing all over it. The oldest stone I believe here is from 1895 but most of the burials have taken places in the earlier 1900s. There seems to be all kinds of strange activity ectoplasm, branches breaking, cold spots, shadows etc it is what it is a very haunted cemetery. On three sides of it you have nothing but woods and although its well taken care of very few visitors come back here let alone if they know of its existence. We will return again this place is what I would like to think as a hotspot unlike other places that are more settled and quiet. Other then that I really do not have much history on it. I have a feeling there are a few unmarked graves here as well since in certain areas there is nothing as if stones are missing in certain sections. Suber Memorial Gardens looms a giant haunted mystery. © By Rick-AngelOfThyNight
