Phase 2 of last nights investigation is complete and wow these were some beauties as I went out to Central NY to check out some of the more famous haunted places.  I had to head out early yesterday and it was a slow drive as the weather was snowy. I can say that today if I had one wish it would be to own a cane because I can barely walk I hiked over 5 miles last night to bring back some really good stories.  As you know this is day 2 of a series of investigations into the WNY region as a tribute as I am moving soon.  I was pretty happy about visiting out here knowing that two of last weeks trouble causers from this list who were banned lived in the same town I was investigating lol; shhhh we do not want them to know I was at a cemetery at night or that I did what they could not.

But anyways I visited Split Rock Quarry, 13 Curves and finished off the night with Woodlawn Cemetery.  It was another long night as i did not get home till early morning but the trip had its rewards. I took alot of photos, I ate well the whole night, and the only downfall was I ran into 2 snow storms after they passed thought it was a beautiful moon lighting the way. Anyhow I started off at the very haunted Split Rock Quarry and so my journey begins here.

Split Rock Quarry

This place is pretty difficult to find as its in a very rural area near a place with lots of wilderness and trails. Finally I was able to visit here something I talked about for 2 years so was I excited? You bet your ass I was. I had to hike in since you have to walk the service road to get to the quarry. Right away it was pretty intense the road was steep and on one side you had rocks, part of a foundation, crooked trees and the right a cliff with woods below. I hiked a little ways came to a 3 way split. One path was a sharp left, another one to the left and the other one to a wide up area which had some rusted fencing.

The first path I chose was to visit the wide open area. I had one obstacle I had to be careful of though. Rumors of holes 10 to 100 feet deep. So with the snow on the ground I was pretty worried about possibly falling in one of these so called holes. Sorry to disappoint some but I live to tell ha. But I ended up approaching a giant stone structure it was embedded into a high cliff. To me it felt like I was approaching some stone ruins of the Aztecs or Mayans. The structure right away was very foreboding looking after all on each end of it was 2 tunnel entrances that looked like mine shafts extending out like arms. I walked between the 2 tunnel entrances though and just looked straight up at some of the graffiti on the wall. Some was so high the only way you would be able to write it would be to have a 20 foot ladder.

You could easily feel watched as on one side there is stone cliffs with this structure right in front of you. I decided to take tunnel #1 it was not to bad I went in about 80 feet and kept looking up at the shafts above me until I reached the end of the tunnel and it veered off to the left which was caved in and to the the right which had a pile of dirt in the way and the stone crusher. So I had to turn back. Did I feel watched and was there a presence inside? Yes there was something inside the tunnel with me moving around you could hear it. Before I left I shined my light over the pile of dirt and notice other passages on the other side. So quickly I ran back to the other tunnel to explore.

The second tunnel was similar to the first except this time there was a tunnel and passage I was able to take underground this went for quite a ways. I did not like this tunnel there was all kinds of signs of cult activity here melted candles, demonic names on the walls, symbols, things like your going to die, evil pictures Ect. But I kept going and eventually the tunnel led to a caved in area where a little hole was visible leading to the outside. I walked back and believe me it really became cold in the tunnel as I was taking a few photos of the symbols on the walls. It was not easy this cold made my hair stand up practically. I felt like something big and nasty was coming or rather something non ghostly. So I took my photos and kept moving till I was out of the tunnel.

I ended up walking back to roads where they split and this time took the road which led on top of the structure and cliffs. It was very rough as the snow was at some points up to my thighs. It took me a long time to reach the top of the stone structure embedded into the cliff. But I did but could not help notice how some were daring enough to climb the side of the structure just to write there graffitti knowing that if they slip once it would mean death. I could not help noticing that since I had cliffs on the right side and on the left woods and rock formations that if anything were to come at me I had no where to go. Did I hear something in the woods? Yes it sound like something was following me at one time my light revealed a glowing ball or eyes in the woods. It could have been a reflection but little things like the blowing ribbon on the tree made it all the more eerie.  I also hurt a branch snap really crisp and hard near by and voices. It sounded like someone was close near by but I was the only one up here as the snow was starting to fall hard. I took my photos atop of the cliff then headed back to the intersection.

When I arrived at the intersection some man was going fast on his snow mobile I could see him from atop of the hill. I hid in case he was trouble. He acted like he was looking for me driving around the quarry and he might have been the locals seem a little funny in this area. But I took one of the last roads in the woods with many rock formations. That road basically led me nowhere but an area surrounded by cliffs but much smaller and it was bowl shaped. Maybe there was a pond or lake back in here but I did not pass the signs believe me on that. I just headed back capturing a few entities by some stones. One stone had a place you could squeeze in like a cavern but only if I was a child because it was only a foot or two wide.

I eventually headed back to the entrance and it turned out to be a good investigation but it was very tiring. I did not see the famed glowing ghost but there is something up here whether its ghostly or something else who knows. With tunnels and woods this thick anything or anybody can be hiding in them. But with the paranormal it sometimes is the little things that you try and notice like the foot steps, branches breaking, voices, cold spots things of that sort. On my way out some guy standing outside threw his arms up at me and said something to me which was not nice perhaps he is the one putting the symbols on the wall who knows. But to me it was about conquering this place especially since it is one of the more well known and famous places in the Central NY region. Then I visited 13 Curves.
