One of my favorite locations to explore is a place often those refer to as Comstock Country. In between you have Silver City, Gold Hill and Virginia City. All three semi ghost towns border one another in the vast wildness of the Nevada mountains. Within those mountains are cemeteries, mines, abandonment's, historical sites, mills and roads that go to nowhere.

I have worked with each location a little upon my relocation to the area but had no explored the Comstock as thoroughly as I did yesterday. The reason for my trip was to tour the area learning its history and to find new locations that we could thoroughly do some paranormal investigations at. Not only that but I toured one of the largest concrete mills in the United States trust me its an urban explorers dream.

So far since my move to the area I have to say yesterday was one of our greatest adventures in a long time. We would encounter wildlife.....various bird species.....haunting cemeteries.....to even meeting other explorers. I would test my truck to its limits as we drove down some of the rockiest roads no car would ever make thus revealing some pretty cool locations.

I want everyone to keep in mind that all the locations that we toured will be visiting again as each place was an exploration. Most of the locations I visited are said to be paranormal hotspots whether this is a fact I really cannot tell you. I do know however some of the locations are deplorable such as cemetery graves crumbling or buildings collapsing. The work is ongoing however by us preserving such sites through our website we can only hope others will have the same respect I have for each location we visit.

Our journey would take us to Silver City Nevada, Silver City Cemetery, Gold Hill Nevada, Caledonia Mine Works, American Flats, Gold Hill Masonic Cemetery, Gold Hill Catholic Cemetery, Virginia City, Silver Terrace Cemeteries (Mason's, Pacific Coast Pioneers, Order Of Odd Fellows, Knights Of Pythias, Silver Terrace), Mt. St Mary's Cemetery, Storey Count Public, Ancient Order Of Redmen and Wilson Brown Funeral House Cemeteries and the Exempt Firemen Cemetery.

I spent allot of hard work on these locations as I left early in the morning and did not get home till late at night. I have done allot of traveling with PGS and although I love every location I investigate. I have to say the Silver Terrace Cemeteries in the Comstock may just be one of the most haunting pioneer cemeteries in the country. I have never in my journeys come across cemeteries such as these despite their dismal state they are beautifully dark. You will come to understand this over time as I will be working very hard in this 15,000 acre area which is full of paranormal, history and breathtaking locations.

Some would say I am lucky to live as close as I do to such an area ill explain later in my report. On my way up to the Virginia City area I was looking for a new camera. Eventually I am going to get a wide lens still waiting however on my infrared camera to arrive. This year has been a great year for our group we have lots of new gear and were working in an entirely new area which is full of many paranormal happenings.

This would not be the first time I visited this area as when I first moved here I did a day tour but did not extend my adventuring beyond the towns. Then a couple weeks ago I came up here at night to investigate and the activity I experienced was pretty intense. This time I expanded my search in canyons....up on cliffs....and testing my truck to its limits driving down rock roads to nowhere.

Tammy and I were very excited about this trip as we would be visited locations that are ghosthunters dreams. Its one of those things that you are so anxious you pack the gear early.....shop around for extra goodies...get some hot coffees.....smoke one and just adventure to the road that takes you nowhere. Even a decade later I still get very pumped up to explore. I have never lost that glimmer and honestly if you look at allot of other groups they eventually burn out.

For us 2011 is special as I opened my society in 2001 so we want to make this a good year. We want television producers to continue to consider us and others to see the hard work we continue to keep doing. This was a good week for me I am about to close the deal with three possible new investigators. We have new business cards I designed them and they are bomb. I actually left some of the cards in various shops in Virginia City so others could join and get involved.

Friday would be a special day as we are nearing some milestones with each investigation we get closer to. Not every investigation we do were going to gather evidence or find something. If you notice most television shows put a good show on when it comes to chasing ghost. But the real truth is not every investigation produces results. For me I know that if I return to some of these places will get the EVPs we want or ghostly pictures. The nice thing about our society is were a paranormal adventure group mixed in with Urbex. I work very hard at my photography because I want our viewers to feel as if they are standing right there with me. I also do allot of videos lately most of them will or have ended up on youtube as well.

So anyhow sorry this report is a little late I been working on a massive garden in my yard planting....tilling....putting in fence etc. Not to mention the fact that I am going through a custody battle for my youngest child which I wont this week physical custody of him. For those that are aware my kids do assist me in some of my investigations generally the safer explorations we do. In this case some of the locations I did visit this past Friday were not so safe so they had to sit this one out due to the fact that this exploration was intense perhaps even to intense for most.

I have spent awhile researching the area so allot of our trips and investigations will take place out in this region. Eventually will also be covering allot of locations in California and id like to get out to Oregon in the nearer future. As the weeks pass things will intensify within our society as I plan on giving our fans another decade soon of pure adventure nothing less but something more.

So with that in mind please lend us your support for our show, forums, adventures, website, donations, friendship etc What we do here is important and in a way were all about preservation because as you know some of these locations I am covering will be eventually gone, destroyed or even demolished.

For anyone who has not been out west the more I spend out here the more I fall in love with it. Many of the towns I visit are semi ghost towns. The Virginia City area is the type of place that you will see a Victorian mansion right next to a mine or an abandoned mill next to a saloon. There is no place like it on earth and now the Paranormal & Ghost Society is bringing you the start of great things to come. Keep in mind most reports will be very short as again this is my first tour and we have allot of work ahead of us in this region such as questioning the locals, research, paranormal evidence gathering and follow ups..

Silver City NV

This is one of the most significant locations in the state of NV. They do not call this the silver state for nothing so the area is extremely old. I can also say the area is haunted based on what occurred last week out here during one of my investigations.

The one adversity here is that their are dangers everywhere between mines and steep drop offs. When you enter into this city most of it sits on the hill sides. Its a rather eerie town as you enter into it there is a mine to your right then a few mill sites up on the ridge to your left.

I had stopped at one of the old mill sites to grab some photos there was actually mining going on at the time. Some of the mines in the area seemed to be active. You could see miners outside standing around talking as big machinery was in operation.

Silver City is not as active as Virginia City hell at night the only cars you ever see are ones passing through. Visiting here was not my first time as last week ago I drove down the dark streets of this once booming mining town. It also made me realize how secluded some places are minutes from historical sites.

I took this dirt road into a canyon which split off to the left and the right. The road to the right was overgrown and it went down into a wooded area. There was a creek at the bottom I did not find any historic sites. I noticed a fire pit which I thought was cool camping out here at night probably is great for stargazing and UFO watching.

Tammy and I would stop at a few historic structures. Some of the main ones were the Hardwicke House, Masonic Temple and one of the oldest the historic fire department. I found a school house on the hill and we drove past a few mansions in town. I am sure each one has a story just as each one has a haunt. We hope to eventually investigate many of the residents homes in this region so that others can understand this ongoing project we are working on.

I took this dirt road up to an old mine and ore chute then decided to follow the road which creeped along the edge of this cliff as it curved around the mountain. Tammy and I would park I photographed Devils Gate from above an area I toured a week ago. I did a hike in this canyon lined by trees many rock formations. Their were many mines one was collapsed the other one was sealed off. Off on the hill was an ore chute with a massive debris pile. I know that when you see debris piles as big as this one you could be looking at miles of tunnels and shafts.

I did not visit the mines but enjoyed the nice hike in the canyon and some women waved at me from on top of a mountain. I am not sure if they were teenage girls but as I told Tammy that despite the seclusion of this little town its very much alive. You have folks drinking in the saloon....backpackers....others out in their yards which might be on the hillside looking down at you.

The view from atop of the mountain was stellar. I could see a mountain range covered in snow while below I could see a high desert valley. When I photographed Devil's Gate I would however face an obstacle. That would be turning around on a road that was a little wider then my truck. I was on the edge of a cliff with a little outcrop. It was very intense Tammy held her breath as I turned the truck all the way around slowly inching my tires near the edge. As I pulled forward we were facing the drop off I never once thought twice about it. The fact is that the Comstock is full of roads like this if heights or rough roads scare you don't do it. Tammy told me I did a really great job on turning the truck around she told me that she couldn't have done what I did. I am proud of myself in my ability over the years to drive

Silver City to me is kind of an eerie town unlike Virginia City that has feelings of good energy I sort of feel the opposite here. I feel constantly watched here not just by humans but there is something about Silver City. Like any ghost town throughout the town their are wood shacks.....wagon wheels laying around and other pieces of history leftover from its hay day.

Most of the mines are closed although I did visit one of them but did not go very deep into it as I used it to cool down from the warm sun. Of course ill return to the mine to do a separate investigation in itself. I can tell you when I went into the mine it was much cooler then other mines I been in before. It also seemed very large great for exploring and gathering EVPs of miner ghost etc. The mining district has allot of interesting sites but allot of them require hiking and that I do not mind because the hikes overlooking the city are beautiful but also some are very steep so getting to some mines will require teamwork.

Last week ago I went to Devils Gate so I wanted to return to the gorge during the day its amazing how different things look. Within the town are a few historic plaques I passed by as I suspected almost every location has a story. What is even more intriguing is knowing that under the towns in Comstock Country lays an underworld of tunnels some which are said to be flooded others said to be victims of underground fires.

Also another noticeable thing is the fact that many old gutted out antique cars are to be found all over the hill sides. The school house on the hill is colonial which seems out of place compared to the rest of the town. There is no doubt that each location has history to it. I remember studying some photos from this towns hay day along with other nearby towns. In the 1800's this was a big city sad to see that most of what you see in the black and white photos is gone.

I will return here in the future to do another exploration and eventually gather some paranormal evidence. I have a feeling there is allot more to see here amongst the hills. Silver City has a morbid past and history I am excited to continue to explore the area.

There is another area I set off to explore in the region which was hidden in one of the valleys of Silver City which is the historic cemetery.
