The Ransom Farm is roughly a century old and sits up on a hill. If you ever wanted to move into the country this would be the perfect place with woods, a creek running near the farm, fields, a big ole country house, barn, garage, sheds it has everything and the area is huge. Now the farm has been let go and its very overgrown you can barely even seen the porch. The house sits up on a hill. A lot of the old equipment still remains actually. The barn has written Ransom Farms right on the top of it.

At one point you could sit here and day dream about catching crawfish in the creek, watching the cows graze, and kids playing on the porch but all that remains is a ghost farm. Surprisingly the inside of the bar is in very condition compared to the outside which is rotted. There is a lot of history to this farm we could not find much on it because it closed roughly around 1989 based on what we found in the barn. However it is most likely true that it played a big role in the Lancaster/Buffalo culture since milk, crops and other things would be supplied locally earlier in the century.

The top of the silo is missing and we also noticed that one of the sheds is collapsed there is even an outhouse on the property. The house has a storm cellar on the outside as well as a very thin, very steep stairwell leading into it inside. A lot of the things still remain inside a giant old stove, old wallpaper with flowers, some old lamps and pieces of furniture. The house has a steep L shaped stairwell that goes upstairs as well.

We found this place to be very haunted by shall we say an entity that seemed to want to scare us out of there our first investigation of this farm. If it was not trying to scare us it sure was angry for us being there since my impression is that the farm is still very much alive with activity the kind where the afterlife has chosen to make a home here. The entity that is here I believe is a man he perhaps stays around to watch over the house and barns.

Warning:

It has come to my attention that recently a group of people have been going here vandalizing this house. I have had friends of mine warn this group of people and I strongly suggest anybody who decides to be a PGS wannabe not go here. The spirits that haunt this house want to be left alone. There is a male entity and he is a class 5 entity he can move objects and speak. Yes he has a temper an yes if you do vandalize this property he will get you how I know??? Well apparently around Halloween of 2003 the person going up there causing problems was yelled at by the ghost to get out and glass was thrown at his head he had to have stitches. What we do here is not a game and going here vandalizing, treating ghost like a tourist attraction, disrespecting them is not wise. This house will get you if you do not know what you are doing. Even out group had some problems our first visit but then you get punks and copycats who go because we do a story on it and they end up hurt now who's fault is that?

Update:

Ransom Farms has been torn down their no longer is a barn nor house. A private owner has built a brand new home on the site and all that remains are the photos of the past of this once historically haunted farm. A friend of mine gave me the information. She told me she drove by seen the farm was gone. Then weeks later she told me this house was being built. One of the reasons places like this get torn down is cause inexperienced people go in them they end up being caught or hurt. Then the town files to have places like these demolished. It is unfortunate cause this farm house was very haunted in my opinion. The photos never will show how haunted it is but every time I went something new happened here.
