I will say this is one hard place to find perhaps because the main road out there to it no longer exist or rather is blocked off. This mine sits in a mining district which means allot of dirt roads going off to no place and nowhere. Their is also some fenced off placed with abandoned cars....trailers....a few houses and things of that sort. We did not find this location our first time and our second visit here was looking dismal because at the crossroads their was a giant fenced off area blocking our way down the dirt road we needed. I then decided to take a series of dirt roads which led me actually on the other side to this location where I would find myself at the main entrance to the mine itself. Rarely does this happen where I can pull right up to a mines entrance get out and go on in lol. I knew we arrived when on the left side of the road was a giant wood structure that extended like a wood deck on a hill side. Past that would be this giant piece of machinery that I never seen before. It had this propane tank attached to it, a stair well, ladder, upper deck, chute and then of course below it was the main mine entrance with a very steep wood ladder down. I went up the stairs it was pretty high up and the equipment was sturdy. I noticed a couple small pieces of machinery on top then I went back down and brought Tammy up here. All we could see on top of this thing was darkness from all ends. I felt like a kid in some sort of a tree house here or club house sitting all snug above the car below. Tammy and I hiked around across from the machinery was that would structure which had these big wood beams and a deck. I am guessing that this was another entrance into the mine but like the many in this district this also was blasted shut grrrr very upsetting. We found allot of interesting things here such as a foundation, piles of TNT boxes, bean cans, concrete slabs, sheets of metal, piles of wood and even railroad ties. We found some pipes that came out of the ground from nowhere including a deep hole where one was once at. Their was scratching going on from one of the wood beams at the mines entrance turned out not to be a rat but a piece of wiring rubbing against the wood as I had thought. We try to debunk everything we come across and most of the time their is a reasonable explanation so it was not a ghost or rat but just breeze causing this effect. Tammy and I made a very steep climb at the top of the hill their was a massive water tank. This place was quite an operation in its hay day it was producing millions in gold. What was strange is I never seen any gold sparkles on the ground or in the rocks unlike other gold mine locations I been to so yeah the place was stripped clean. When we made our way back down Tammy went down the side of a hill again loose rock. It may not be deadly to fall but it certainly hurts and by the time you get home you find bruises in places you never knew existed lol. We walked further down the mining road and found this area that been stripped mine. The rocks were bright red sort of looked like this temple. Near this area Tammy and I spotted a couple sets of eyes. Tammy thinks they were rabbits however I seen not hopping but four legs walking. The creature then hid in some brush watching every move we made. I grabbed my blade I thought that they were baby mountain lions and well that meant mama lion might be near who knows but I wasn't going to gamble not in the mood to have my jugular ripped out I happen to like my voice its what host my radio show lol. We followed the road around a hill found some deep craters and actually on a hill a few foundations one about 8 feet thick. I seen this rat run past my feet it was crazy but welcome to the desert allot of rats, spiders, snakes and prickly plants. Tammy found behind some brush a small doorway in the side of a hill. This would turn out to be a mine that went back almost 40 feet with spray paint at the end of it. Their was rocks piled up around the door so it was not closing or opening. I crawled on in to this entrance which was made for a hobbit not a man of my size and found a very large rats nest inside. Their was also clothing and a water jug which meant somebody probably was doing their own mining or either that it was the same person who was living up at the Nobel mine may have lived here for awhile too who knows. Tammy and I would finish off the mine by me actually venturing down this 50 to 60 foot ladder. I had no idea what would await me at the bottom but I decided it was worth the risk. We are what we are paranormal investigators their are those who sit on the sideline and those who play the game. I came out to play so I took my light down and descended into the darkness. I made it to the bottom where I came into this empty room which had a bunch of loose rock. Their appeared to be tunnels to blasted shut so I climbed up grabbed some more gear then made another descent down into the chamber where I sat below trying to communicate with the entities that might lurk in this mine. The second time I came back down into the chamber I explored it further found a giant slab to sit on and set up some EVP recordings. What I found strange about being down here is that their was intense heat more then any mine I ever been to. This is unusual since most mines stay around 68 degrees. Their was also a bat that would not leave me alone twice it zipped past the top of my head and although it should have been hunting for food it kept hanging around me in the mine. I love bats their amazing but I prefer to not have them get caught in my hair good things for beanies lol. Anyhow the chamber itself was fairly peaceful although I will not deny feeling something here their was a really heavy feeling like something was in the mine with me as I sat in the darkness by myself. Tammy waited up at the top of the shaft for me and their was nothing but silence even when talking to her she could not hear me perhaps because I was so deep underground. Their is a different kind of silence when you are underground its not spooky but its different. You hear things sometimes sharper like a forever peace to a point where if a pin were to drop you are going to hear it. When I climbed on out it felt good to cool on down. Tammy and I made our way back to the car but we were not done yet. We would take the road down to another area mining had been done. It appeared that their were dozens of debris piles surrounding the area. I also found a beat up antique car that was rusted out and twisted. The road we took was very hill and rocky we almost did get stuck at the bottom of this hill if I did not keep us rolling we would have been spending the night out here. Our last site would be of a mangled up utility pole and wires just all over the place so it was obvious this place at one time had power. We had a pretty good exploration here the only obstacles left was to find our way back to the main road which we would take a series of roads back. I never was so happy to see the pavement and we were not ready to wrap up our night with our major investigation of a place called Kay Manor.  A heart shaped anomaly or is it two orbs moving at such a high rate of speed that they are colliding? I actually took this deep down underground in the Quartette mines main shaft. Sadly what you are looking at is a collapsed area so their is no getting any deeper down into the mine. But at one time behind the rock and in this tunnel led to an underground network of many tunnels. Nonetheless its an oddity whether its real or just a fluke!
