Pleasant
Mills Cemetery
I was glad to get hear during the day if you ever seen a ghost town
cemetery this would be it stones dating back 200 years ago, coffins almost
exposed, broken crumbling graves and sitting right in the middle of the
Pine Barrens.
I heard of an old mill here we did not find it we hiked on a trail behind
the cemetery the river was calm but nothing was here. I sort of felt bad
but that is the mystery of the Pine Barrens many secrets are hidden
amongst the mystical forest some you find others you do not. Some
directions I find from others are not totally accurate but it was a nice
half mile trail just no mill at the end of it lol.
The cemetery we would come back to later after taking off in search of
Herman the ghost town. I did want to get daytime shots for our fans so
they can see what this place looks like day and night. You'll be happy
with the results.
Later on that night we came through the cemetery two more times I was
again very upset with the fact that Andrew and Adam refused to walk threw
it I think its childish not to take the time to explore this place and
again I was walking alone in the cemetery. Not a lot of activity just old
graves, lots of history and some ectoplasmic shots.
The little church in back of the cemetery is part of the ghost town of Batsto
and it was built in 1808 the guy that was working on the inside he
was gone by our second visit so people clear out fast here. At night this
place feels twice as eerie but it was not as bad as Hibernia Cemetery. But
some of these people buried here had run ins with the Jersey Devil hence
why I chose to investigate this location see the connection I am putting
together? During the day after we visited here we also visited Batsto number 1 ghost town in Jersey and the pine barrens maybe even the whole
entire east coast.
