The old German Cemetery is a small little cemetery located near the old German Methodist Episcopal Church. It was established in 1838 and maybe contains around 40 stones at most which are very far apart. It is well kept if anything the weather has had its toll on this place. Strangely enough the front and side contain rod iron and the back is just a field. I believe the last of the burials that occurred here were in 1971. The cemetery contains some of the earlier settlers of Akron and of course all German. I cannot say that this is the most gloomy or haunted cemeteries but if you are new to the ghost busting field its a great place to capture a few orbs feel a few cold spots. The cemetery is very peaceful and exist right in the village it is actually very old fashioned. We investigated this place out of curiosity as I always use to drive past the church and cemetery during the day and the large trees surrounded most of the stones gave it a foreboding look.
