Grand Island Nike Base, (Was NF-74/75 dual site, redesignated NF-41 after conversion to Hercules): Mid 1950s-Mid 1960s, Niagara County, Grand Island. Launcher and Integrated Fire Control Area for Nike-Ajax Missiles. IFC South of White Haven Road now Town Nike Base Park and Senior Citizen Center. Launcher Stanley Road and West River Parkway used as Eco Island Ecology Reserve. Later after the cold war it was turned into a park which has the Reality Cafe, Tennis Courts, Bike Trails, Community Center, Senior Citizens Center, Recreation Halls and much more.

The reason why I wanted to investigate this place is that I thought it would be interested to roam on what was once a military installation. Although all the old military buildings stand they all have been converted into different uses. All the underground Nike Missile Silos have either been filled in or removed and now this park is a place where others can come and play baseball and do other events. Some just visit it to sit down and have a cup of coffee at the reality cafe which is really cozy. Although many Nike Missile bases are still left over from the cold war this one was turned into something majestic.

Is this old military base haunted? Very much so. Often you hear about ghost stories on military barracks such as doors slamming, soldiers seen wandering then vanishing at night Ect. That is why I chose to investigate this area. The activity here is quite high as you will see from our photography but also to heard and see things which we did also add more to the fun of investigating it. We did not enter any of the buildings since they are locked down but the property around the buildings is very  haunted. Who are these ghost? Soldiers that have came back home to rest from the war?
