Mala Compra Plantation At Bing's Landing

We drove along the ocean for a ways and damn I love the scenic route lol its the most awesome thing to drive along the beach with the moon hanging over the water. Eventually we arrived at Bing's landing which sits by an old canal along the Matanzas River. It was pretty quiet out no traffic and we pulled into the plantation area along the river. Their was another vehicle with a boat trailer here so its obvious people come up here at night to fish or boat.

Jasmine jumped out and she was walking barefoot cause of her blisters. Hell this may have been the first investigator to ever investigate barefoot haha. But this last place I planned out as a let loose type of place no eerie woods, no dark roads, no surprises etc just a nice historical park where we could have fun investigating. It was so peaceful here I felt like climbing up on a bench and going to sleep.

We got out and headed on over to the docks their was some crabs crawling around and some pretty giant fish splashing around. Damn I bet their was some juicy flounder just waiting for me to catch near them docks haha. My camera stopped working again eventually when I got away by myself I kept trying to get it to operate and it just turned on.

I walked around the tiny little canal which goes threw the center of the park and where boats can launch from its ramp into the river. I went around to a building and eventually some picnic shelters. The main thing I was looking for here was the plantation ruins. I did go to the tree line peaked in their but their was nothing but coquina stones surrounding the entire park no ruins yet.

I eventually found a playground Jasmine jumped on the miniature horse and I was playing with a mechanical dirt claw flinging sand at everybody. Here it is 6am almost and I am in the playground playing construction boy. Honestly it was just a way to let lose after the intensity of 2 very paranormal places and driving down a road in the middle of nowhere playing in the park was like relief.

We came around took a photo of the sign and I found a plaque within the park talking about the plantations history. I went down the road and found the plantation ruins. The first set of ruins was that of the Mansion all that remained was the foundation and chimney. Most of the ruins were buried in a lot of sand. Of course respect all ruins so we handled this place carefully not touching anything.

I took some photos then found a stone well which was not to deep but if you did fall in you would need a 12 foot ladder to get out so I was real careful when taking photos. Then Jason checked it out and we ended up finding some steam kitchen ruins. Their was some cold spot or energies surrounding the ruins. I mean its obvious since the place was burnt down by the Seminoles that more then likely someone died at one point here.

Eventually we were all very tired so everybody got in the car and I went out to the docks alone. I felt watched I know something was here the river was gloomy but I kept hearing something moving in the park section maybe pine cones falling who knows. I heard movement here one time maybe a small animal near by.

But I wanted to take a few more shots and even I found a memorial near by so I grabbed photos of that. We did leave but it was already 6am so that gives you an idea of how much time went into the investigations. What makes this place unique is that nobody really has heard of it and like most places we investigate we are the first ones to visit such sites so do not be fooled by copy cat groups cause this forgotten plantation I thought would be a great place with its history to give to our members.

In conclusion to last night's report I do not think your going to see a load of paranormal photos. Some places just are not photogenic areas sometimes its what you see, hear, smell, feel or even capture using instruments like EMF detectors. I would like to work with all these places more I mean they all have a huge historical significance to the Flagler County area so state turned for the updates when I do my history piece about each place.

The one thing that has its benefit is that being their to experience such things has its rewards some can view all the photos in the world but to be their first hand really is amazing. This was Paul's first investigation and he really enjoyed himself since he lives out of state he got to see the beach, a southern plantation site, a historical lodge, a haunted old southern cemetery and so much more something he will never forget.

I would say each place we visited was unique I mean we heard movement, smelled things, got touched, felt cold spots, seen things we could not explain, and sensed out various energies in different places. Bing's landing was just that peaceful despite it was a plantation with a lot of history just as the eerie Espanola cemetery was very foreboding and Princess Place was just plain old weird.

Remember what we do is a lot of work between dealing with wild animals, secluded places where we could get stranded, lots of mosquitoes, and even wet feet. That does not include everything we encounter but the one thing we can say more then any other group in the state of Florida is that we were their we visited, we saw and we overcame.

I do feel that each area has its own paranormal occurrences perhaps two of the places have more residual energy of the past but they all were very interesting to explore. We usually do not do weekday investigation so this was quite a rarity but it was nice to get some investigations going after a two week lapse. It was a hard drive home having to almost drive 3 counties home 6 am after hiking all night really is roughing it but I was just happy to check these places out after weeks of research.  Peace

Mala Compra Plantation At Bing's Landing

Rick told me that this would be a quick and easy investigation, I was glad, I had my shoes in hand and went off trying to get a stray cat to come to me. the place was pretty much a park but it was neat. I didn't get any feelings or anything their, but I was so tired, it was about 6 am and I was ready to go to bed. We walked around everyone pretty much going off in there own directions, We came across a playground, I jumped on a horse and rode it for a second, went down the slide and then Rick noticed the ruins of the old plantation house, He went in and took Pics  I was just sitting there taking it all in. it was a very serene atmosphere and I was glad to be there, we weren't there all to long and finally after Rick took a bunch of Pics we started home. I tried to stay awake and talk to him to help him drive, but I eventually gave into sleep, I was glad because from Rick's house I had another 45 min ride home to my place, and a 3 year old waiting for me, I knew there would be no sleep for many more hours. But I kept popping up and asking if he was ok. We finally made it to his place, we all looked completely drained, and like a bunch of zombies we definitely made up for the 2 weeks we didn't investigate.

In conclusion this was a pretty strange night, we got to see some really neat things, experience a lot and have the fun. Rick works so hard at putting together a good solid and safe investigation, we really need more team members to help us get this organization noticed so that it can get the recognition it deserves, we all work hard in our own ways and wish we had more help. Anyhow I'm very happy to be a member and would like to give Rick a special thanks for letting me join the team, I am enjoying it all, even his little pranks....till next time...
