Lancaster Presbyterian was erected in 1832 when the village of Lancaster was just starting to grow. This was the first church in Lancaster and today it still has the same pioneer look to it sort of like the old churches in Salem MA have. Due to pioneer lane in the 1800s a major flow of immigrants traveled to Lancaster this is why the church had to be built. They call this the confessing church. Due to the age of the church it has seen many things throughout its history the fires that occurred, floods, civil war, world war I and II Ect. At times people gathered at the church when a tragedy struck it was a way people could untie to overcome all the tragedies that happened in this town.

I became very interested in this church after going past it 100s of times. I have not seen a church such as this in quite sometime maybe because this structure is one of a kind. It is what gives the village a historical look to it knowing most buildings burnt down this church miraculous still stands and looks brand new. Not only is the church very beautiful but it is also very haunted. One thing you learn when you deal with ghost is some respond well and are very cooperative when your visiting and other times they are not. The ghost here are warm, friendly vibrant, they love showing up on film, you can feel them come up to you, almost a sensation like they are hugging you. This is what makes investigating all the more worthwhile. Not everything out there is bad there is such beautify beyond what we see and this church is a prime example of it.

Today the church has been remodeled to fit the villages needs. A larger seating area was added now instead of 124 places available there is room for 324. A new Narthex area was built and inside is a wood cross made from the original timbers from the sanctuary back in 1832.The church also has a school attached to the back and the church mainly looks the same as it did from 1832. A few photos below were taken from a variety of sources and are for education purposes so you can see a little more about how the inside looks to get a perspective.
