Jacquin's Pond & Bridge are rumored to be haunted with many strange events that have occurred up here. This is one these type of places you visit like the movie wrong turn. It is in a very rural area many woods surround it and you really do not know what you might encounter. Since the area is very swampy from the pond anything can roam out there so its an area that keeps you on the edge as you walk around at night. The pond is extremely large and near it is a old bridge which use to be part of a railroad trestle. The tracks are gone and now water flows threw it. But the area obviously has to be quite old for it to have at one time a train that ran threw here. I did find a post card from over 50 years ago and it at one time was called Jaquia's Lake.  Is this area eerie? You bet it is! Is there evil that lurks around here? I do not doubt it. Although our investigation here we had many ghostly events occur but this place we found to be very active unlike some places we visit. Also within another short ride from here is another swamp with strange events. Perhaps there is some connection with the swamps around the area.

The story goes that many people have committed suicide in the woods near the pond. It is also rumored that a man by the name George is said to haunt the road as he once was a school bus driver and had an accident involving a Childs death. He committed suicide. According to what I read about this place is that George will lock your doors and appear if you call his name a few times perhaps that is an urban legend or is it? We had a personal experience with this ghost he is harmless just a friendly ghost who gets in your car and is playful. But he is very eager on making himself known. Mark asked me why I left the keys in the car and did not take them with us. He said to me aren't you worried George might lock us out. I told Mark no way. The reason is that often when you die your human traits carry on in the afterlife. George was so sad he killed himself because of an accident. So I knew he must have had pain and grief probably enough to not want to hurt anybody else. So this is why I gave the entity my trust and it paid off in our photographs as you will see by clicking investigation 1's button.

The area is very strange indeed almost hearing the water flowing and branches breaking is a haunting sound. I felt a lot of uneasiness here feelings of being watched from the woods, hearing mumbles, branches snapping, moving cold spots, banging on the car, lights going dim near the bridge at all times, high EMF readings, writing on the car windows are just some off the occurrences that happened to us here. But what makes a place so haunted? Isn't true that some places are places of power? Energy? I could not neglect this place hearing that there have been some deaths which really sound mysterious makes you wonder if there is a bigger secret to this area then others want to accept. This is one of them types of areas perhaps people might come up missing, might be found dead, or drive past and see something strange out there window at night. It is one of the areas mom and dad tell there kids do not go.  It is downright spooky but we were lucky enough to have a chance to visit here walk part of the road and bridge as well as go into the woods a little ways just to experience what the area had to offer. Also the road forks into 2 different ways one is a main road the other is a dark wooded road so thick you cannot even see the sky. The dark road is said to be mysterious as well. We went for over a mile and turned around since the snow was thick the though of sleeping here really did not appease me one bit. Dark road is a understatement this road was downright evil that is all I have to say about it.

Other then that I really do not have a lot of history on the area I did check into school bus accidents and suicides and there have been a few in the area. I mean I wish during the day I could hike around here and explore farther but unfortunately this location is very far from us so for us it was a one way ticket. But we have to ask ourselves does George haunt this bridge or is there something more sinister at work here? Many unseen mysteries & forces are abound at Jacquin's Pond.
