In August of 2007 our site received the Iframe Virus. More then likely someone viruses me then when I did my updates its spread onto our site. The virus was a form of malicious malware which in reality would open up a secret popup very quickly and install various problematic issues. I was told before my harddrive crashed that our site is full of spyware that is not true it was not put there by us. In the last 5 years we have never had such a problem so why would we start now. Some of you may received a malicious worm, trojan or virus of the sorts. When I browsed our site I noticed that every page I went it was a different trojan or worm. All the Iframe does is sends you secretly to a website that causes them to download to your pc. If you caught them in time with a resident shield virus scanner or scan they can be removed. Unfortunately if they are let go for two long they will cause your computer to crash. Sadly when people virus a site like ours what they fail to realize is that not only do I get it but so do there friends who also browse here. So enemy or friend alot of peoples hard drives crashed. Keep in mind that I am able to back up our site so committing such acts is really a waste of your time considering our host is also able to remove such viruses from our system. I dealt with the virus in a number of ways to keep our fans and website visitors safely. The first way I dealt with it is I installed an Iframe code on each of our pages that actually disables them. The encrypted code blocks Iframes and it works with 90 percent of most browsers and visitors. Unless you are using some old school browsers or you are not updating your windows often. But the code did work cause I tested it on numerous pages and the virus was blocked. The second action I took is I removed the Iframe from all our webpages which was the extra security measure just in case the code did not work with all website visitors. We are now virus free but if you have not done any recent virus scans or you do not own one I recommend using this scanner as it picks up on this... http://free.grisoft.com/ and you can use the resident shield which instantly nukes a virus when browsing other sites. That is how I detected here! Here is an article explaining about the Iframe virus which has attacked numerous big name sites. http://buzz.typo3.org/teams/security/article/massive-web-server-hacks-[iframe]-attacks-now-extended-to-typo3 Now even though my website is now secure other websites are starting to get this [iframe] virus you can stop it by reading the tutorial below at this link. You can disable [iframe]s in your browser to prevent this from happening and it should work. http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/restricted.htm Setting which gives you a tutorial on how to disable the [iframe]s feature since I learned other sites are having similar problems as this is the newest threat on the net. Since even though we are 100 percent safe other sites on the net may not be so hopefully this will help all of you. Lord Rick PGS Founder
