The Grand Island Holiday is has got to be one of the most well known haunts in the Buffalo NY area. This is an in rumored to be haunted by quite a few folks. It was talked about by the 13th Most Scariest Places on Warner Brothers, it is written about in books, and people have mentioned it to me also. Getting room 422 is not as easy as it sounds at one point they did not allow anybody to stay here and now it has become a tourist attraction. Everybody wants the haunted room even if you book it that room is never available. The holiday inn holds some meaning deep inside my heart. As this is where I had my prom and sat by myself on the water wondering why I could not be like others and have a date that night. Especially when I met a beautiful girl who was a photographer and when I came back to get that last dance she was nowhere to be found.  So going back here stirred up some memories.

I never knew it would have been haunted years ago but as of today I have heard many ghost stories come out of it. It is said a house once existed on the site where the hotel now stands. That house burnt down and the death of a little girl named Tanya died in that fire. She is often seen by maids, bellboys, guest and managers have all had experiences with her. Sometimes she is seen jumping on the beds, running down the halls and being playful. A maid had an experience once when all her cleaning supplies came off her cart she thought trouble makers did it so she went to contact her manager. When she came back everything was put back on the cart.  I believe other ghost have been captured here besides a little girl such as one seen in the ballroom. It seems to me these ghost are aware they are deceased and they are happy where they are and that is around other people. 

A lady who worked for the front desk told Mark recently 11/1/03 that room 422 has been active. You can actually sense an energy emitting from this room its cold around the door, there are orbs captured on camera near here and Mark even captured orbs without using a flash in the main lobby. It is said that people who rent room 422 get a call at the same time with a little girl laughing. Also it seems that other things  It seems to me that the little girl is playful and the account of Tanya dying in the fire is a true fact. 

We did get a chance to visit here and do a mini investigation walking near the room, in the lobby, down a few halls although we wish we could have more time to work with the Hauntings that occur here but we just wanted to bring the viewers a story about what occurs here and a little bit on the history of the place. I do regret that I am moving or otherwise I would make a few return trips here as well as interact with Tanya's ghost but time is short. We brought you a few photos inside which rarely does anybody show you what the hotel looks like so we hope we can bring some of the local viewers a picture of how this hotel is and some of the activity that happens inside of it.. If you do decide to stay here room 422 awaits you are you daring enough to stay here?
