Hibernia St. Patrick's Cemetery

We had a lot of problems finding the road going here Adam had no idea yet he says he has been here many times so he called a friend on the cell phone to get directions.  My directions were different as mine took us to the mine entrance then to the cemetery then to some stone ruins. The road Adam took me on was deadly a lot of curves, trees close to the road, swerving cars etc it reminded of a place I visited many years ago they called 13 curves pretty intense.

Adam told me to skip all of that cause he knew a better way to show me the cemetery hidden deep in Hibernia so I said fine. He took us on a mile hike and their were all these dirt roads going off in all different areas.

We finally reached the cemetery it was easy to see it with all these white crosses looming all over the hill. We followed it downward and their were many graves from the 1800's made out of stone that were cracked, broken and vandalized.

This was a very awesome graveyard and I was glad to have visited it better we ran late or during the day would not have felt the same. I felt some cool spots but it was quiet here. I did not feel to comfortable walking around the area of Hibernia is really the site of an old mining town bad things happened here and these white crosses symbolized death of many unmarked graves of miners.

We made our way back to the car spotted some hoof prints Jersey Devil? probably not maybe deer but some of them dead ended at hills or were very large. Eventually making our way back to the truck this concluded our investigation I did not get to see the mine I was pretty disappointed despite you cannot get in it its the idea of seeing it that makes it glorifying.

On the way back I found something the guys missed off in the woods which was a stone foundation almost buried by earth and wood. This was a foundation and had a fairly large platform perhaps part of the mining operation or ghost town I was pretty happy finding it.

It was a nice cemetery its going to look really awesome on the site and it has a lot of history something I love. We then drove on up the road to the Hibernia Munitions Ruins.
