The Greennaur home is one of the oldest houses in the Cheektowaga area.
The house was once a farm house on a fairly large plot of land then a new
basement was laid out and the original house was moved to that foundation
along with some of the main materials. Then the garage, back of the house
were added over time. You can easily tell that the house is very old the
basement although not the original is made with very large stone blocks
and the beams are made of old wooden logs. Back over a 100 years ago
Cheektowaga was full of woods and farm lands it was not populated now
today this is a booming town and a lot of the houses really aren't that
old accept this house is and this could be the reason behind the Hauntings
that go on here. They said old houses have strange histories and
tragedies.
The owner claims the house is over 150 years old and she bought it from a man who died later on in Florida. Before the man who died owned it the owners husbands grandfather owned this home. So it has been in and out of the family's hands so it is possibly that the haunts that occur here could be the grandfather, her father or even the woman who lived here who was once put in an asylum years ago. The owner claims that in the family room she sees a dark shadow walk from left to right near the wall. The apparition seems to have a coat and one of the old type of hats that a detective or mobster type would wear. She said it looks a lot like her father. She also hears footsteps upstairs when nobody is up there and other strange noises. This is a ghost that has been seen for 20 years. Just sitting there talking about it in her house made my hair stand up like the ghost was right next to me. The ghost that is seen here sounds also very residual as it always does the same thing its a shadow walking from left to right. We believe that the ghost is peaceful and prefers to remain out of site as much as possible. There may be reasons for this it could be the children it could be because of religious values. Sometimes when people are very skeptical the ghost remain at a quiet level perhaps because skeptics fear the unknown the most. Walking throughout the house you could feel an occasional cold spot and you could feel certain areas you feel watched. Filming a live orb here is not rare our group even had something try to shut off our equipment on its own so the ghost that is here prefers to remain unnoticeable and discreet as much as possible. © Rick-AngelOfThyNight |
