After the poor house it was an asylum later a nursing home. Rumors in 1920 of nurses practicing witchcraft and doing evil practices supposedly took place in one of the rooms. The owner told me that witchcraft, cults things of that sort are said to have taken place on the property even before 1920. Even in the last few years people have broken into the building and the owner found a pentagram on the floor, with locks of hair hanging from ceiling and it all seems to be occurring in this one room. A room that is very cold, dark, and almost feels different then the rest of the entire asylum. But these practices have nothing to do with the building usually it has to do with the property perhaps a vortex lies within the property or some other horrifying secret. But I thought it was quite odd to see witchcraft practiced for almost a century on this property unlike most places we visit you get a group of kids who practiced demonology this was much different. You have years of black Magick or perhaps demonology/Satanism practiced perhaps even people who sacrificed humans. So when I talk about this place keep in mind the darkness and morbid practices that took place here. Also keep in mind back in the 1960s the Lindley Murders took place 9 people were killed or rather disappeared which may be related to this place? Were they sacrificed? Killed? Buried on the property in the woods? So thoughts run amidst as all of them took place pretty close to this asylum.

Now going back onto the building itself let me tell you a little bit about what it is like inside. There are catacombs that go underground which lead to 2 very large garage and work shop areas. There is one area that looks like a hospital where there is many patient rooms some still have the names on the walls of the patients. They look like hospital rooms I remember seeing some of the old lamps and even a old bed. There is a cafeteria, a saloon, a steeple tower, a recreation room for movies and games, a morgue, a cold storage room for bodies, a slaughter area where animals were hung by hooks, nurses chambers, kitchens, areas for the nurses and Doctors Ect.  Some of the old beds, chairs, desk and things still remain today sort of gives you that creepy feeling as each room you walk down you feel like the ghost are sitting in the chairs just watching you. The first floor is a little different now there is craft rooms, an office, and a few other rooms which are used for storage and holiday events such as they have a room called Santa's workshop. There is so much to explore here and I know we did not get to see it all as many doors are locked, some bolted shut, some probably are dead ends when other buildings were torn down including a large house on the property which also was torn down at one time.

Now we get on to the Hauntings here. According to the owner and friends of the owner who helped give us information on the legends that surround this place this is an extremely haunted area equally outside as inside. The owner sometimes works alone at night and says that she has to lock up doors upstairs, has to go into the basement to shut off the furnaces, the heat, lights Ect and when I asked her what kind of experiences she had she really did not know which experience to tell me because she has had so many here. Like one time she was working in her office and her a older woman saying hello hello and nobody was in the building at the time, another time she saw a child standing in the corner of a room that is just to name a few. Some of the other experiences that occurred here are lights in the windows, lights shutting off by themselves, knocking noises chairs spinning around on there own and I suppose the list could go on and on. I give the owner a lot of credit to be able to deal with this enormous amount of energy that exist in this place. She has had psychics come in and they put down salt I cannot say that it will help and I do not think salt, prayers, or anything will help. Why? Well you have many angry spirits some have been raped, murdered, beaten, abused, buried out back, forgotten and some are angry. Some places are damned kind of like the old saying the house is alive and watches its the same concept here this place is alive I felt it when I drove up to it. Some of the entities probably do not know there dead as the owner said there are a lot of reoccurrences or perhaps another wards residual energy from the past. Rumors of a witch that use to visit here and bring the patients herbs and such was said to be also killed on the 3rd floor and there is salt on the floor in that hallway where it occurred. Dwayne and his friends said on there tour here they were followed home afterwards we did not have this problem although it is possible we were followed to our second destination which was a haunted park.

Now I want to give you my perspective on the Hauntings here based on the data and recollections on my abilities. I believe that a lot of the ghost inside the building are not evil. I believe they are older people who died when it was a nursing home based on the photos we took. I believe that perhaps the good spirits that roam its halls at night might keep anything evil from coming inside. I did not feel uneasy inside however there are patchy cold spots, breezes that move past you, feelings of being watched, hearing things occasionally like a scream and seeing a few things out of the corner of your eye. I believe that there are well over 100 ghost in this building as I did not explore it all but occasionally I went into certain areas alone to feel them out. What I noticed is that out of the few patient rooms I entered there was a ghost usually alone in the corner or off a little ways. Like one incident I walked alone into a secret tiny room that had a passage 30 feet long like a tunnel. I snapped a photo and had an apparition coming towards me. So you get a lot of ghost just keeping quiet in little dark corners of rooms, tunnels, Ect. we captured something on every floor and we did a little photography of the Potters Fields to show you that there are ghost outside and inside. A lot of the ghost are aware they are dead and why they stay here perhaps is because it is peaceful or maybe it is all they have left and know. The property bothers me more then the inside. As outside I feel very vulnerable like something evil is out there just watching. It does not feel right on the property maybe it is the unmarked graves, maybe there is demons on the property that watch passing visitors, or maybe there is so many ghost that the feeling is overwhelming. But I did go out to my van on the property alone and I will tell you something i felt watched, uncomfortable, unwanted and almost like something wanted to get me. Other really haunted areas I think here are the 3rd floor that seems to be where alot of witchcraft, rituals, and murders have taken place. The garage also seems to have a lot of entities and why? Because garages and workshops at one time were active areas so basically the most haunted areas would probably be areas like this. I mean the morgue although nothing was caught on film you could smell death in the room as in one of the rooms bodies were stored there until they were picked up for burial sometimes for days. But the cold spots, feelings of being watched, discomfort in certain areas, anxiety, Ect. all seem to be associated with this place from what we experienced while investigating it. If I was not moving I would have worked more with this place perhaps even help suppress some of the activity so that the owner would not have to deal with some of the more terrifying things she sees and hears here. But our group did climb up on the roof of the steeple and trust me if something evil was here it could have pushed any of us off the little area we stood on high up. So that is the good news of it all is that what is here does not seem hurtful but is it haunted? A big yes? Is there ghost here? Yes many kinds mainly that of children and older people. In a way there is a certain sadness I feel when walking around I almost feel bad for some of the ghost perhaps this is why I was able to catch some really nice photos because I care about them and my visit here was to see them as well. Also I watched out the window from the 3rd floor and the guard dog seemed to be watching something on the property something that was not there. 

We were happy to investigate this place it is a nice building in pretty good shape to and of course it is a part of history so we would like to thank the owner for giving us a chance to go through it, take some photos and bring everybody a great hauntingly beautiful story. Perhaps our visit will have calmed the activity a little here or perhaps sometimes it is just a matter of knowing the truth which may make it a little easier when coming to terms with dealing with what is here. Sometimes we fear what we do not know but by seeking it out and understanding it that can make it easier to deal with. Maybe the only way the spirits will rest; is for someday  the building to be torn down and to take the land and make a giant monument for the people who died here just like for September 11th they are building a monument this is so we do not forget ever the terrible tragedies that occurred but also never let go the fact what another life had to endure. Sometimes some things are not meant to be and perhaps at one time this land was Indian burial ground or perhaps so many negative events have unfolded here that buildings, houses Ect were not meant to be built here. Maybe the evils of man here were caused by demonic possessions? Perhaps the nursing home or asylum was a cover up for its true purpose what that may be might always remain a mystery. But one thing that is no mystery is that the paranormal here is quite real.
