Freedom Playground is part of Dreggor's Park. Many different stores donated different parts of the playground and today it is one of the largest playground in Deland. When approaching the playground it looks like a fortress as the whole entire play ground is made entirely of wood.  It is the only playground in Deland covered by large oak trees. I myself am looking forward to take my boys up to the playground since it is fairly close to my home.  Many people hold birthday parties here so there is alot of energy on any given day. It was built in 1991 based on a vision.

Perhaps what makes this playground so eerie is that its that you know something is here you can feel it but you cannot see it. There is so many places to hide here between all the thick foliage growing around it, then the series of wood bridges, passages, towers Etc its very easy for anything or anybody to hide and watch from beyond the darkness. The playground is extremely dark almost to a point that in some areas you cannot see your hand in front of your face. We found this out when I tripped on a moving bridge.

But what makes this playground so haunted is it the fact that the hospital from 1918 is on the grounds? Or is it because of the energy that is contained here. I believe the playground was dedicated as a memorial to the wars fought in the past such as the hospital nearby was dedicated under similar circumstances. But there is all kinds of interesting things at Freedom playground such as a painted eagle, American flag, the George Washington Slide, various games built in the playground like a Alphabet game where you spin the letters.

I wanted to investigate this though out of curiosity to find out how haunted it is and we did find from our first investigation here that it is haunted mildly but there was the ghost of a lady reading a book sitting on one of the benches. Who was she or why she was here we may never know. But freedom playground perhaps does not mean the freedom of being American but perhaps the freedom of the afterlife.
