The Forest House is a 100 year old Victorian type
home that is very large and to the normal person it would give you the
heebie jeebies. The house is split into 2 apartments. At one time this was
all one house as someone used drywall to separate the stairwell. This
house has a sad feel to it. The city had shut this house down I do not
know why however. Often the town takes over a house for many reasons
perhaps due to tax evasion, not paying the mortgage so the bank buys it
out, death of the owner, or if it was rented house and in poor condition.
You can feel this house has a presence here. Its big windows and oak
throughout the house make it very pleasant to walk around in. Many things
still remain here old bikes, fridge, stove, furniture etc. With houses as
old as these it is most likely that a death or 2 did occur here. All the
houses in the area are very old and mansion like. What happened here is
the question why was it abandoned? Did some great tragedy occur? Do the
spirits still reside here in this large residence?
