The First Church Of Christ Scientist was built in 1929 and was the first of its kind here in the DeLand area. A group of Christian Scientist before hand by Sarah J. Clark from Toledo Ohio in 1915 held services in members homes. Then eventually the Condrington and Conrad Buildings. The building has a Sunday School attached to a very Greek like Architecturally styled church. Although out of many buildings in this area this structure certainly stands out since there is no other building like it in the area or church for that matter.

I believe that I talked with someone recently who use to attend here its a pretty nice church only open a few days a week but still none the less it has an eerie feeling. Perhaps because it sits in one of the oldest most historical areas of DeLand. But it also sits next to another haunted location I investigated when I first arrived here which turned out to be quiet active. But perhaps because it was so unique this is why I chose to investigate it.

The church definitely is full of activity lots of moving cold spots, high EMF readings, even apparitions were seen by my son who is very clairvoyant. But perhaps was is the most uncomfortable feeling is seeing little lights lit inside the church and school as if something supernatural is occurring. One of the largest willows in the area is also on the property imagine the history it has seen over the years through the funerals, wars, celebrations etc that this church had shared.

We do plan on visiting here one more time this place perhaps was very active but more so unique. I always love going back to places where the ghost are real warm and friendly. It seems so far from what I gathered is that the ghost surrounding the church are children and like most kids they play in the trees, on the steps and perhaps seem quite lonely. 

But the energy is strong any person can feel the ghost if they are in tune here. But what makes a place so haunted at a church is it the funerals? The amount of so many different energies coming together? Is it the land its built on? Or are the departed trying to send us a message from beyond to let us know that our faiths perhaps are not what we perceive them to be. Perhaps science is our only explanation for such supernatural occurrences.
